All of the new photos released from Gossip Girl’s 12th episode of the third season, “The Debarted,” feature Chuck (Ed Westwick), Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck’s late father Bart Bass (Robert John Burke).
From what we’ve heard through spoilers, Bart Bass is coming back, I guess as a ghost or in Chuck’s mind, because he’s really dead.
But the question is, what is he trying to tell Chuck? Or what is Chuck needing to get off his chest? I’ve heard spoilers about Chuck’s mother coming into the picture in season three. Do you think this is what Bart Bass’ appearance is all about? This also is the anniversary of Bart Bass’ death, and we all know that his father’s death made a big impact on his life. Is he back because Chuck wants to know if his father is finally proud of him? Compared to how he behaved last season, Chuck has really been an angel in season 3. Chuck has worked hard to be successful at his new job, owning a hotel, and he is in love with Blair.
Here’s a clip where Blair tries to help Chuck with his grief, even calling him “Scrooge,” but Chuck doesn’t budge an emotional inch:
Also, check out this clip of Nate (Chace Crawford) trying to make Dan (Penn Badgley) “man-up” and let Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) know how he feels. Nate is so funny in this scene, pulling Dan’s strings. The only thing is it looks like Vanessa’s friend Willa has a crush on him and Vanessa is interested in the drama dude Paul Hoffman, which Nate calls a “douche.” Do you agree?
