Here’s some more information on the confirmation that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expecting twins. From the interview with Access Hollywood:
“You’re gonna have as many as (the) ‘Brady Bunch’ when you have these,” Jack joked.
“It’s confirmed? Is it two?”, Natalie asked.
“Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already,” Angelina responded. “Well, Jack’s just confirmed it actually.”
“Is that true?”, Jack said jokingly.
“Yeah, you did,” Angelina replied.
“Sorry,” Jack concluded.
“So you’re having twins?”, Natalie asked, as Angelina nodded with a ‘yes.’
“Do you know the sexes of the babies”, Natalie asked. “Or, are you keeping that private?”
“We would like to keep that private,” Angelina said.
“Are you going to stay here in France to deliver?”, Natalie also asked at one point.
“Possibly,” Angelina responded.
Exciting! The video seems to be having trouble loading – possibly because it’s not supposed to air until tonight on the show. I will get the video up as soon as possible, keep an eye out for it!

This is exciting news. Personally, I don’t care whether conception was IVF or the old-fashioned way (not that it’s my business). I know more & more women are opting for IVF for various reasons – advanced age, single mom, etc. My niece finally conceived with IVF method. My cousin adopted a pair of siblings, then had twin girls by IVF. Because of the IVF method, multiple fetuses are produced, depending on the health & resources of the mom/parents, they choose to raise twins, triplets, or more. I don ‘t think anyone involved in IVF would call this a fad.
Doctors have also noticed that more & more twins are resulting from natural births. Twins are almost common now, when I was growing up, they were rare. The article I read quite a while back noted the phenomenon but didn’t explain it.

Frenchy: You two are quite an unexpected duo, do you know each other?
Angie: Yes, we do. We haven’t spent much time together but we know each other
Frenchy: Have you worked together or made a movie together before?
Hoff: No, we are still to make a film together. We’re together in this film, but we haven’t shared a scene together as such.
(then they all kind of talk over each other….Angie says how Hoff works quite hard or something)
Frenchy: To make a cartoon and voiceover the characters, do you do it because it’s fun, for your kids or because it’s well paid?
Hoff: You do it for your grandchildren, the money…
Angie: You do it because it’s so much fun and it’s great to do something that you’re not really used to. To play an animated character in a great story, in a film that the kids will like and where we enjoy ourselves…so there’s really no reason not to do it!
Frenchy: Tomorrow you’re going to climb the stairs (Les Marches) and the film will be presented. Dustin, does this kind of this make you nervous? Is it important or just a fun thing to do?
Hoff: Well no I’m very nervous about it because I’ve never done this kind of film and now that I have I’ve lost all my natural ___, as you can see! So on the red carpet, I’m in a state of ___ ! (sorry guys)
Frenchy: I can see that you’ve previously done many animations and it makes you laugh a lot, Angelina…since your marriage to Brad Pitt..what does it feel like to be followed everyone? You’re one of the biggest worldwide stars..is is very shocking to be hounded by the paparazzi?
Angie: Since when did I get married..? Um.. I don’t know..my day consists of spending time at home with my family, it’s 99% of my life and it’s only very rarely that we go out to these kind of events..and we don’t let the paparazzi become a part of our lives. We try as much to be with our kids, have fun with them..we focus on them.
Frenchy: Ok I’m going to ask you a paparazzi question: I’ve heard rumors that you’re expecting twins. Is this true?
Angie: Yes, yes we are.
Frenchy: There we have it, an announcement on France 2..congratulations Angelina! I know that you’ve lived in Paris and now in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat…what is it in particular that you like about France?
Angie: Well, I think it’s beautiful here, and I love the country. We also want our kids to learn another language, and for them to know what it means to be American but also European, and to be close to other parts of the world…and France is a good base for that. Also, the language itself is beautiful, our son leans French and I think that the others will aswell..so it’s great for us to have the whole family here.
Frenchy: Last question for Dustin: I know that you’re very popular here in France..you’re first film was in the 70’s, such as Midnight Cowboy and Little Big Man..are you still going to keep making movies for a long time to come?
Hoff: Firstly, I have one thing so say as it’s the last question..can I say it?
Frenchy: Go ahead, it’s a pleasure.
Hoff: Ok..I want to congratulate Angelina because it’s been a very long time since I’ve been in this business and I’ve never met a person who has such a good balance between family life, humanitarian efforts, ..and all the extraordinary work that she does in addition to this.
Angie: Coming from you, that’s …amazing.
Hoff: I mean it.
Frenchy: Thanks Dustin..you’re message has been passed on to Angelina. Thanks a lot guys!
Hoff: One last thing….why she chose Brad Pitt over me, I’ll never know!
Angie: Have you ever met him?…ever get to work together..? (cut off)”

I just want to add a bit of information that I think I read somewhere that Doug Pitt or Brad’s sister has twins too. The lady from Desperate Housewives might have had fertility treatment since I believe she was already in her forties. I think J. Lopez is also almost forty years old too with fertility treatment. Angie is only 32 and Brad’s family has the twins’ genes.
This is the best news ever Sherry. Then I admit I was wrong in saying she will only have one boy. I hope they will have one of each, just like the Brady Bunch. She looks gorgeous in that gown. More news on the Today Show tomorrow.
The rags reported on these twins many months ago. Obviously, you don’t want to believe everything you read, but I do feel that plenty of things written are true, even if the celebrity denies it. There are too many maids, service people, etc. who overhear things and are willing to sell their stories. As far as fertility treatments, I know that Angelina was having difficulty conceiving this time around and I remember her expressing frustration last year. So, I have no doubt that she had treatments. Obviously, it doesn’t really make any difference, but I think that is the reason we are seeing so many twins in celebrities lately – they are needing a bit of scientific help. At any rate, I too am thrilled that they are having twins. I know Brad loves little girls – he said in an interview a few years ago how much he loved little girls. Still, I can’t help hope that at least one of the babies’ is a boy – we need Brad Pitt’s looks in the future!!
Who else had twins? I know Jennifer Lopez – and that was probably AI since she had fertility issues. Oh yes, the actor from Grey’s Anatomy (who knows if they used AI?) and the actress from Desperate Housewives (probably did have fertility treatments) and that’s right, Dennis Quiad and his wife’s surrogate had twins – again probably w/some fertility treatments. Seems unlikely that a young, fertile woman with 4 children would use fertility treatments, but again, we’ll never know!
I’m really surprised! I didn’t believe the rumors – but I’m so happy for them.
I remember praying NOT to have twins the first and second time I was pregnant. The third time I secretly would have enjoyed twins. By then I knew I could handle 2+ children.
Ange is looking so beautiful – and with TWINS! Who else could pull it off with such grace? They are very blessed to cherish their large and loving family.
I doubt they have AI, but we will never know. I have known people who have had twins naturally and those who had AI and either way they are a blessing.
Yeah it also seems unlikely to me when they’d probably have been just as happy having another biological baby and adopted another one after s/he was born because i’m sure they want to adopt more in the future..plus, if they were going to have A.I. you’d think they’d have done it on the 1st pregnancy not the second..i did see magazines reporting that they had A.I about maybe 3/4 months ago i didn’t kno what i thought though i was just happy she was pregnant again! I don’t care if they did or didn’t they are capable adults making their own choices and i must admit i pretty much agree with their choices and the way they live their lives so who cares frankly? I didn’t know twins ran in their families..let’s see how much that gets reported on in the media rather than how they’ve definately had A.I.
OH MY GOD IT’S SO EXCITING! I JUst teary eyed to read the news that ANGIE is pregnant to a twin. Brad and Angie is so blessed. Maybe the Lord returned the blessings to the couple because of their goodworks to the needy people. Oh how i wish to have a twin too and give a name angelina and brad hahahaha.Tnx sherry for the news.My day is not complete without reading your blog.
Davesmonster over at Randi’s website did mention that some people will probably bring up the topic of fertility treatments and artificial insemination with this announcement. Weren’t there already stuff like this that came out earlier on? Oh well, if some people want to believe that some people have multiple births because of that, let them think so. And even if they did, Sherry is right, who cares. Such procedures have helped so many couples who otherwise wouldn’t be able to have children. Unfortunately, as with any scientific procedures, some people might abuse it, but I think they are few and far between. Even if the Brad and Angie did have fertility treatments (which I don’t believe they had to because twins run in their families), does it really matter? These two are people who love children and are willing to give their all to raising them well.
Can’t wait for the whole Today show interview tomorrow. Angie said in AccessHollywood that Z and Pax in particular think they also have things in their bellies…animals! Z thinks she has pigs and Pax thinks he has monkeys! How cute is that! That explains Brad’s sympathy belly (hehehehe)! This family is too adorable!!
Who cares if they did have fertility treatment?! God knows i wish they were having quadruplets hehe i’m so excited waiting for the birth and the new pics and even wondering what the names will be! Can’t wait for the red carpet pics either..i’m such an impatient person hehe
im new here, and id like to point out that star magazine reported that both unborn kids r girls. b4 u think: w/e, its just star magazine!! remember that we heard it’s twins from star first.
annelouise – sure, many people do have twins (or more) because of fertility treatments, but it’s not necessarily the case here. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t. The more important question is, who cares? If they did choose to do treatments, that’s their business. If they didn’t and got twins as the luck of the draw, good for them too. Twins run rampant in my family, enough so that I was a little nervous until it was confirmed that I was only having one each time. :) So, just because it’s not as common as a single baby doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
Angela – I don’t know for sure but I would guess they already knew for some time and just didn’t talk about it.
I keep wondering if she thwacked Jack over the head after the interview for his loose lips! ;)
i was just wondering, did they just found out about the whole twin thing when angie and pax visited the ob? or they knew about for a long time? just curious.
Just watched Access Hollywood and Angie is just over the moon. So beautiful and glowing. I loved the little stories she told about Z and Pax thinking they have something in their bellies. And how sweet is their tradition of giving the kids a sibling party when a new baby comes home.

All the tabloids have been bleating “it’s twins, people!” for so long and I’ve been sitting here scoffing at them, saying “get real, where on earth did you pull that from?” I guess the tabloids have a case of the boy who cried wolf now: they make up such ridiculous lies that when they actually get a genuine scoop, very few people believes them anymore.
Oh my goodness. I think I need a cup of tea and a good sit down. This is huge news to take in! Six children is going to be quite a handful. If anyone deserves this much love and joy it’s Angelina and Brad. Bless them all.
