My Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert Movie Review

Well, my daughter and I saw the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert movie last night and we had a blast! I was very glad that I ordered my tickets online because one mom told me she had stood in line for an hour twice that day for tickets. Ah, the good ‘ol internet.

When we got to the theater, there was a really long line for tickets. When we got inside the theater, there was another long line wrapped around to get into the theater where they were showing the movie. It was Hannah Montana mania!

There were lots of girls with their Hannah Montana wigs and HM shirts on. They were pretty adorable!

The 3D glasses were much cooler than the ones I remember from when I was a kid, lol!

They showed several previews, but the one that really caught my eye was for the movie Journey to the Center of the Universe in 3D staring Brendan Fraser. All kinds of things were jumping out at us and it looks like a great movie. You can look for it in theaters in July.

Okay, back to Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus…Here are a few of my thoughts on the movie:

• I loved seeing the behind the scenes parts. We got to see how hard putting a concert together is and that it takes a lot of rehearsing and planning.
• Kenny Ortega looks like one fun guy! It was so funny seeing him dance and show Miley what he wanted her to do during the concert. He taught her a cool microphone trick that we never got to actually see her do.
• Miley’s mom and dad are obviously very proud and supportive of her. I hope that is the key to her keeping a good head on her shoulders.
• The 3D effects were awesome! At times you did feel like you were in the audience. It was also cool when a guitar pick and drum stick came flying at you.
• Miley sang a couple of songs barefoot. Cute.
• Miley’s song to her “pappy” was nice. I felt my eyes water a tad.
• The Jonas Brothers were amazing to watch in concert. I can’t imagine how good their tour is going to be. My daughter and I wanted them to sing S.O.S so bad! They sang only two songs which wasn’t enough in my opinion. But hey, I guess this is Miley’s concert.
• For Hannah Montana’s opening number, if you watch closely, you’ll notice that her watch keeps magically appearing on and then off again. At first I thought someone in the audience stole it, but then it was back on again.
• Her back up dancers are incredible. Except when they dropped her, lol!
• I think G.N.O (Girls Night Out) was my favorite song of the movie. There was so much energy during that song and I also thought her outfit was pretty cool.
• Speaking of clothes, her mom mentioned that they put her to work helping Miley change. She said at one point they have exactly 36 seconds to get her changed…hair and makeup too. Wow, that’s crazy!
• Overall, I thought it was a fantastic movie and it made me and my daughter more than ever wish we could have been at a concert. The movie was great, but just not the same.
