And I’m blogging my favorite show right here at Superhero Profiles. What could be better than that!

Creator/writer Tim Kring directs the epic drama about ordinary people discovering extraordinary abilities, whose destinies lie in saving the world from annihilation.

As a total eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, a genetics professor (Sendhil Ramamurthy, “Blind Guy Driving”) in India is led by father’s disappearance to uncover a secret theory — there are people with super powers living among us.

A young dreamer (Milo Ventimiglia, “Gilmore Girls”) tries to convince his politician brother (Adrian Pasdar, “Judging Amy”) that he can fly.

A high school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere, “Ice Princess”) learns that she is totally indestructible.

A Las Vegas stripper (Ali Larter, “Final Destination”), struggling to make ends meet to support her young son (Noah Gray-Cabey, “My Wife & Kids”), discovers that her mirror image has a secret.

A fugitive from justice (Leonard Roberts, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) continues to baffle authorities who twice have been unable to contain him.

A gifted artist (Santiago Cabrera, “Empire”), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and relationship with his girlfriend (Tawny Cypress, NBC’s “Third Watch”), can paint the future.

A down-on-his-luck Los Angeles beat cop (Greg Grunberg, “Alias”) can hear people’s thoughts, which puts him on the trail of an elusive serial killer.

In Japan, a young man (Masi Oka, NBC’s “Scrubs”) develops a way to stop time through sheer will power.

Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world…

  1. Superhero Profiles » The Superheroes Flashback to November

[...] Taking the sweeps with more than 14M viewers, NBC’s new hit show is Heroes, evident even from Genesis pilot episode. The show is about a loose band of ordinary people with heroic powers, whose apparent destinies are to save the world. We caught the show after episode 8 with a glimpse of what’s to come, come “midnight”, where it seemed everything revolved around saving the cheerleader at her homecoming… by Peter no less! (I blogged about a possible Peter-Claire but some think that’s too gross, so ok – we’ll drop that). But because the show’s still in the middle of the season, we really wouldn’t know if saving her will save the world. Yet. We were left with more questions than answers. Hoping episode 10 will have answers, we were taken six months back, and the episode did make some sense about the lives of Nikki; Peter and Nathan; the evil Sylar (video here) who wants nothing else but to kill the people from Chandra Suresh’s list of heroes; and HRG the man who I think is behind it all. At least I think he’s got something to do with putting this strange marking on our heroes. This Monday’s episode “Fallout” (lots of photos and a spoiler) may just be about the fall of a hero, which I’m hoping NOT. Please… not. [...]
