New couple alert – Cameron Diaz and John Mayer

Oddly enough, this is the first image that came up in Google for Cameron Diaz and John Mayer. This MEANS SOMETHING. This is IMPORTANT.

Cameron Diaz is dating musician John Mayer, reports Us Weekly.

Cameron, 34, and John, 29, were spotted out and about in NYC Tuesday night. “They went out to several places,” said one source. “It was the two of them, getting to know each other, out on the town.”

Added a source, “This was technically not their first time hanging out…they’ve hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It’s new and developing…but they really like each other and it went well.”

Blah, blah, blah. I would find this all more interesting if someone spilled a bucket of cheese fondue on a nuclear plant control board.

And yes, I’m watching the Simpsons as I write this.
