New Dr. Oz Show to Be Based in Manhattan

A new medical daytime talk show will be hitting the airwaves this fall.  Dr. Oz Dr. Ozwill be the first Oprah Winfrey-produced show to be filmed in Manhattan (at a yet-to-be-determined studio at NBC headquarters in Rockefeller Center).

"We considered both Chicago and New York as a potential home for the ‘Dr. Oz’ show," Harpo spokeswoman Lisa Halliday said.

I think this is a good decision since Dr. Oz is on staff, as a heart surgeon, at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

"Dr. Oz’s heart is in New York, from his career as a surgeon to raising his family," Halliday said.

It’s tough to move so I’m happy Dr. Oz will get to stay with his hospital and that his family won’t need to be separated/uprooted.  I like him a lot and I’m really excited to see what his show will have to offer!

    Dr. Oz
My sister and her husband are smokers. She’s tried to quit many times.some
times lasted a year. Because John her husband still smokes she’d go back to smoking. My wish is to help them both quit smoking. They just retired and
I’d like to see them enjoy retirement together. Can you help them?

    Dr. Oz, Good Day!

I watch you show as often as I can. The information is very informative and I have learned alot since viewing the show. This is the kind of information that doctors don’t take the time to discuss with you. I have a problem with my feet burning. I am not diabetic I have had that checked with my doctor. I take the B12, MSM and CQ10 supplements and that helps. However, there is a cause for this happening. What do you think the cause of this may be?

    Thank you,
    Sandra

You talked about people licking their fingers to open the plastic produce bags. They are so hard to open I don’t know how else to do it. I have even ask some one in the deli to open them for me. Any suggestions of how to open those terrible plastic bags.

Dr Oz Your shows have been great & informative. Three of the last 5 shows have been related to my health issues. I just had my first colonoscopy & all is good. I have bladder leakage & a thick uterus. I am 50 years old, don’t smoke, drink 1 to 2 per week, but I am 35 lbs over weight, & not on any medication. I am trying to lose weight & after your show doing more kegel exercises. I had a period for 35 days & with large clots, (first ever) went to emerg. They did an ultrasound of the bladder & uterus. Then referred me to a gyno. She did a biopsy & all is okay, she said I am in perimenopause & she could operate & do a bladder lift. I went for a second opinion to another gyno & he said he would do a bladder lift & he would remove my uterus & ovaries also. I was in shock, since then I made an appointment with the first gyno to see why such a difference in an action plan. He never did a test. All he said is that I have a thick uterus. What do you think my next move should be? I see the first gyno on Nov 16/09. Since that heavy period in May, I have only had periods for 5/6 days and very light with no clots. They are 21 to 28 days apart. Can you help?
Thanks for your time, I anxiously await to hear from you.

I dont know if your going to talk about operations of sorts, but I do have a question. My sister went in for a back operation. Seems the Dr. did not do as he said he was going to do at the preop talk. He was supposed to go in from the side and correct something in her back. When she woke up for the anasteshia she discovered that he operated from her shoulder blades down to the to almost the end of the tail bone. He did not do anything she was expecting. He tried to correct a small curve in the lower end of her spine and instead he nicked her bladder and now she has to wear a bag on her leg, she also has to walk with a walker. she cannot stand up stright. Her back is completely messed up. This Dr. picked her up from under her arms and tried to make her stand up stright as he was telling her I didnt do this. He was the on who done it. He got her a few inches off the floor and walked out of the room. Since then she has had more operations and nothing has helped her. She has also gotten carpal tunnel in her elbows and wrists from pushing the cart aroung but she cant walk without it now. She needs someone to look at her and do something for her, now I have seen people on shows where they bring her in and they have Dr. to look at the case and sometimes someone will offer their services to them. Dr.Oz she needs help. I wouldnt ask but I seriously know the girl needs help she cant even lay down to sleep. she dont sleep well. She also got addicted to the drugs. Pain meds she was on, while she was here with me, I took her to the Dr. and we gradually lowered the dose. But it is still a lot of meds. She needs to be reevaluated from the start if someone could look at her. Dr.Oz I ask you can you do this for her. Just look at her bring her on you show Have some back sergeons look at her, she really need help
I thank you for you time and concideration but I dont know who else to ask but she dont get around very well and she fell about two weeks ago and broke her arm just above the elbow.
I know this is asking a lot but She is in need that I cant give her.
    Please Dr.Oz think about it.
    Sincerely Yours
    Christine M Wilson

Love Dr Oz. Was very impressed with first show, but things moved so fast–he needs to slow down and devote more time to each topic. Looking forward to catching more of his shows.

Help Dr. Oz!! I am only 46 but look like I’m 10-15 years older because of major sun damage, stress, and deep laugh lines. Is there anything out there to help turn back the clock that doesn’t cost a fortune? I thought of botox but after 6 months I’ll go back to looking worse than I did before…Is there anything new and not as poisonous? I can send you a pic if you want..I would be a great story for an upcoming show!
