New Inglourious Basterds clip

Last night during American Idol a new clip feature was shown, where we got to see some more of Inglourious Basterds. Quentin Tarantino was the special guest on the show last night, so it all tied in.

Check it out! Looks like we can definitely expect plenty of typically Tarantino-esque violence, and while I get upset by violence in the real world I sure do love to see it on the big silver screen!

I am so envious of all the lucky people who will get to see this movie at Cannes next month.

For those who have forgotten or missed it the first time around, here’s the original, full 1:45 trailer.

I thought we needed something enjoyable and entertaining after the previous post!

(Thanks to Jane of Film Gecko for pointing me to the Idol footage! If you’re looking for top quality film news and reviews, be sure to check her site out!)

Just checked out the clips and this is a very intriguing movie. Of course I would never miss a Brad Pitt movie. Can anyone tell me, was that Mike Meyers in a graying wig? Man it sure look like him.

OT: Thanks, Mary Ann. If you email me at jlf@igc.org (subject line: Ligaya), I’ll email links to reviews that focus on the baseball aspect.

Also, if you’ll remind me where you live ;-) , I’ll look if/when it SUGAR plays in your area.

Kim, thanks, gracias and merci. We’re very grateful. I emailed you through Sherry. Don’t know why your email bounced back – we received other emails that day.

    PS : Tabloids are unfair.

gena, you are forgetting, when it comes to Brad & Angie tabloids are biased. You will not hear any critics nor negatives write up about this pregnancy of Heidi Klum. They ( tabloids ) go after the one that sells, Brad & Angie’s story sells & make headlines. God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

Guess you all heard about Heidi K. being pregnant. She will have 4 kids under the age of 6. She has a dtr that is 5 and then the two boys by Seal that I think are 2 and 3. Lets see if anyone make comments about them having 4 kids with the oldest being 5. Remember how Angie and Brad got it! And none of the kids are adopted.

    Thank you, Angela.

Coal, the photos from 1:19 to 1:21 is from Brad and Angie’s baby shower (Shiloh). the memory card of that camera was reported stolen so those photos are sort of like illegal because it was copyright protected. the photos were taken down by websites after receiving email from Brad and Angie’s lawyers alerting them of the consequences if they’ll post the photos same reason why you can’t see the photos now. some fans were just lucky enough to be able to save the photos before it was taken down so they got to post it on their videos and stuffs.

    Sherry,

Have you ever emailed Ligaya, because I just tried and it bounced back to me. I have the news paper and would like to mail it to her.

Ligaya, what a nice and very interesting write-up about Ryan and Anna. My son-in-law is a sports freek and he will love this movie. Know you are just dropping into Pittwatch for a minute or so, nice to know you are okay.

    Ligaya,

Will go pick up a Globe and Mail right now.

Hi, Pittwatchers! I have a big favor to ask of Canadian Pittwatchers who get the Globe and Mail.

TOTALLY OT: In today’s Globe Review front page arts section, there’s a nice big article of SUGAR with 2 nice pics – including one of filmmakers Ryan Fleck/Anna Boden. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20090416.ASUGAR16ART1632/TPStory/TPEntertainment/Movies/

I think that means it’s playing there this weekend – YAY! I’d love to get a print copy for our Fleck scrapbook/archives. :-) Would someone please mail me a copy? I’ll pay for the newspaper and postage. Please email me at jlf@igc.org for my mailing address. Thank you.

Neela – would you email me please? SUGAR is going to open in Sacramento.

Victoria – That’s not offensive at all! I’m not sure I can really come up with a clear answer. I just really like high-action movies and a lot of them come with violence. I love the excitement of Tarantino films, things like the Aliens series, gun fights in the Old West, phasers and torpedos in space on any of the Star Trek shows/movies, etc. Strangely, I’m not a fan of war movies in general (though I’ve liked quite a few, like Tears of the Sun, and Saving Private Ryan) but because this one has Brad and was done by Tarantino I’m definitely interested.

But as to why, I don’t know. Like I said, violence in real life is very upsetting to me. I don’t like seeing it in person or on the news, but I think it’s just that news is real whereas I know in the movie no one is actually getting hurt and it’s all fantasy. I find the nightly news far more upsetting than movies.

My movie tastes are very eclectic and some days I want a horror movie that will make me scared to fall asleep (The Ring! holy crap!), then the next I want to watch something with stupid slapstick humor that will leave me crying from laughing so hard, and then after that I want something really suspenseful or dramatic. But overall, action movies are probably my favorite genre to watch on a regular basis (I loved the new kids’ movie, Monsters Vs Aliens but part of me wanted to sneak next door to go see Fast & Furious).

I wish I could explain it better because I know a lot of people can’t stand violent movies at all, but I hope that made some sense!
