Last night during American Idol a new clip feature was shown, where we got to see some more of Inglourious Basterds. Quentin Tarantino was the special guest on the show last night, so it all tied in.
Check it out! Looks like we can definitely expect plenty of typically Tarantino-esque violence, and while I get upset by violence in the real world I sure do love to see it on the big silver screen!
I am so envious of all the lucky people who will get to see this movie at Cannes next month.
For those who have forgotten or missed it the first time around, here’s the original, full 1:45 trailer.
I thought we needed something enjoyable and entertaining after the previous post!
(Thanks to Jane of Film Gecko for pointing me to the Idol footage! If you’re looking for top quality film news and reviews, be sure to check her site out!)

Sherry – why do you love to see violence on screen? Please don´t take this as criticism, I´m just curious. Because I don´t even like violence in movies, it´s not enjoyable to watch – it´s discomforting. So I´m just interested to know what draws anyone to violence in movies – but again, this is not meant offensive, I hope you understand!
i agree with melodie brad look so different in this movie,i cant wait for the CANNES.
so nice!!!!! i can’t wait to see this movie! i’m studying History at the university and especially the 2nd world war, so, this movie is made for me!
brad look so differetn in this movie, and show us, one more time, that he can play everything! he’s such a great actor!
Wow! Looks like its going to be a great parody! When I think of Tarantino, I think of all the “Kill Bills” and I really liked all of them. I don’t really like the violence but hey, looks like an interesting movie to me. My husband loves those war movies especially when it involves the Germans. Would be cool to see it in the big screen and see what the reviews are. Brad looks might hot in that uniform though. Far look from “Burn After Reading.” Oh Cannes, oh Cannes, when art thou in May so we can anticipate a glimpse of our JP’s?
thanks Sherry! this thread is an instant pick me up-er from all the tab rumours lately.
Quentin looks a bit like the killer actor in changeling. i thought it was him at first. then i found out it was Tarantino. haha.
Man, I missed the first 3 Idols with Quentin Tarantino’s comments and advice, I was on the phone with my dad. But the rest I thought he was the most informative as one of their guest. He was definitly very enthusiastic and inspiring. Love, love, love Adam!! Waiting very impatiently for this movie!
very quentin. but i like how he delves into different stories. they’re all mostly action, but the settings are all so different.
Thanks Sherry, I saw Quentin on Idol last night. Gee is he a bundle of energy. Looking forward to this movie, this is one my husband will enjoy.
thanks Sherry. Much better thread, in my opinion.
Can’t wait for the movie, and I agree, lucky for those who get to see it at Cannes
