Here’s the news all girls in their mid-twenties have been waiting for. New Kids on the Block are visiting Australia.
Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight and Danny Wood paved the way for the likes of Take That, Backstreet Boys, and ‘N Sync. It might seem strange for a boy band to get back together now they’re middle-aged men, but Joey says their friendship is as strong as ever.
“I think the thing with us is that we always hung onto the fact that we were buddies first. It’s different now, it’s a little more planned out and professional, but we’re still a bunch of guys who love doing this and want every show to be our best,’ said Joey.
Who better to support a middle-aged boy band than an ex boy band star? Former Westlife member Brian McFadden will also be along for the ride.

does any 1 no how to win tickets for the melb show i am their biggest fan but an unable to afford the ticket food for my kids is a more important thing but i would love to go i have all their cds and tapes i still have all the dolls im 36 now and still love them as much now as i did as a teenager please help if you can
Well where do i start, back in the day my whole life was ‘New kids’ this and ‘New Kids’ that. time went on and i had a family and than i heard they were back together again…Oh my God the feeling of been a teenager again was amazing.THAN the annoucement of the Australian Tour and i screamed and jumped around oh gee how great the feeling was. once the tickets were on pre-sale i bought my ticket which was $220 (alot of money but i didnt care as this was one thing in my life that i really wanted).than the count down was on, 2 months to go woohoo.BUT TODAY MY FRIEND TEXTED ME SAYING THAT THEY CANCELLED AUS TOURS, i thought she was joking.BUT NO SHE WASNT.
I CANT BELEIVE THIS, THEY SAY ITS BECAUSE OF THE RECESSION BUT HEY PINK HAS EXTENDED HER AUS TOURS AND AC/DC EXTENDED THERES TOO.
COME ON NKOTB JUST BECAUSE THE TICKETS DIDN’T SELL OUT STRAIGHT AWAY DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO CANCEL, alot of people are still finding out about you coming here and you did quote on the Australian Today Show that ‘you guys would pay to come here to Australia not get paid to come’ so that was a lie wasnt it hey Donnie.
As you can tell im upset, you guys dont know how much it meant to me that you were coming. im heart broken and dissapointed.
UPSET fan
I definitely feel for you. The fact that the guys didn’t tour at the height of their fame, and have now let down those loyal fans who stuck by them regardless is almost unforgivable. I always thought that they were a little ambitious booking in some of those mega arenas like Acer in Sydney, but it’s pathetic to think if they’re not filling those, it’s not worth their time.
There wasn’t nearly enough advertising. I was lucky I saw it at all. The prices were pretty expensive considering most of their fans are mothers now and have other expenses. Still i paid it but some people may not be able to..and that’s if they even knew it was on in the 1st place!!
I agree Biggest fan very UPSET. Im with u on this the day I found out there coming I couln’t sleep, eat I turned into a teenager. I am shattered by the news of the cancellation on the concert. I hope nkotb are reading these comments so they can see what they have done to there true fans shattered them and crushed there hearts. They could have taken there concert to a smeller venue or just given it more time and more advertising. I don’t know if I will ever get over this trumatic cancellation as I have loved this group since 13 and it was going to be a dream come true for me. Nkotb please if use read these comments, you can see how much we love use come back to Australia.
