For a quarter century Freddy has slashed his way through the nightmares of two generations of movie-goers in one of the most artful, spectacular, and terrifying film franchises in motion picture history. To characterize the Nightmare on Elm Street series as a modern cultural phenomenon would be a gross understatement. To date, the eight (soon to be nine) Elm Street films have scared up well over half a billion dollars in box office receipts in the U.S. alone, launching the careers of such Hollywood luminaries as Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2), Patricia Arquette (“Medium”), Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential), and even Johnny Depp.
According to Dread Central, a new documentary entitled, Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, has just started shooting. There’s no word as to whether Patricia Arquette will have any involvement in the documentary, but as it did help start her career, it would definitely be cool to see her in it. She obviously loves scary movies, having done this and now the Night of the Living Dead-themed episode that they’re working on for this season.
Do you guys enjoy horror movies? Or are you happier with the more paranormal side of things?

I liked those horror movies as a teen, but I don’t waste my time on the nightmare on elm street shows anymore.
I do appreciate a good scary movie for adults like “Cape Fear” or “Sleeping with the Enemy” or “Taken”. I like the scary scenes in Medium. I do like a good scare once in a while but definitely not from a teen horror flick.
I’m looking foward to the Halloween episode of Medium “Night Of The Living Dead’. It’s a classic and if Glenn Gordon Caron is writing that episode I’m sure it will be one of the best episodes so far.
I do like scary movies. I can really only watch the older stuff as the new stuff scares me too much ha ha.
