Hello everyone and thank you for being patient. I know posting has not been consistent on this site. Looking through the comments, I can see that for several months, many have complained about the lack of updating and, currently, the lack of a writer. Someone will be filling this post very soon. We just wanted to find someone who could stay on top of the news and make all of the loyal TomKatCrazy readers happy.
A new comment policy will be in effect also.

I thought I would post my comment here rather than at the end of the very LONG section at the InStyle one. People there were speculating about what the new comment policy might be about and some were talking about the new writer and what the overall tone of this site would be like….pro Tom and Katie or the opposite.
I just wanted to say that when I first found this site I came to look at the pictures of Suri because I found her to be adorable. I wasn’t a Tom fan and really didnt have an opinion about Katie. But when I first came here I have to say that the site seemed to be fairly pro TomKat. There were a lot of fans posting positive comments about the couple and Suri and that they were in the majority. But as the months have worn on those fans have left and gone elsewhere and now there seems to be a shortage of positive comments. I think that the fans got chased away by all the haters and the negativity. Some people were VERY aggressive in their replies to anyone who was a fan or had anything positive to say and at the end of the day the fans all dropped off like flies. I think this mainly happened because people don’t like being called names and ridiculed and picked on. I think it is sad because I for one like to hear all viewpoints and one of the reasons I don’t post here more often is because a lot of people are just so negative.
I will wait and see how things will go from now on but I hope that the new writer/moderator will take this situation in hand and put a stop to some of the horrible things that have been said here….about TomKat, Suri as well as about some of the posters.
Thank you for your comment Lilianne. My goal here is to turn this into a safe place for Tomkat fans and bring back those original commenters and readers. I have implemented a new comment policy and I will follow it very strictly.
I look forward to you starting to interact with this community again! Hopefully we will see those original readers start to trickle back in again.
As a long time poster here, I will give my opinion on this subject. Speaking of aggressive, I have been told by one of tk’s fans here that she hoped I commit suicide. The attacks on me, as an anti-tomkat person have ranged from that to simple name calling.
What we had here before with the “fans” was one or two people posting under dozens of usernames attacking the non fans, which is why they had to implement the sign up.
Consequently these fans went elsewhere and developed their own site, a site that is so “strict” that you can’t just sign up, you have to have a person who is already a member sponsor you.
This site was well rid of those “fans” What it has become now is a site where we exchange opinions and INFORMATION on this couple. This is not a “fan” site by any stretch.
Some threads have upwards of 200 comments, I don’t know what that means to B5, but I assure you that will dwindle to nothing if this site is forcibly made into a “fan” only site because the new webmistress is a hardcore fan.

Libraesque2007 – I am sorry that you have been threatened here before. That is uncalled for.
I would not consider myself a “hard-core” fan, meaning worshiping the ground they walk on and sharing the same beliefs as them. I find the couple interesting, I love Tom Cruise movies and I will enjoy writing about the couple. Yes, I will remain un-biased, but will not in any way bash the couple, say negative things about them or let commenters threaten each other.
What’s my goal and role in regards to this blog? To bring you pictures, videos and facts about the couple.
Julie, sorry, my bad, I guess when I read that someone has seen every one of tc’s movies several times and watched DC faithfully every week, I just assume that falls under the category of hardcore fan.
I’m also leary of comments like “abusive towards the stars” What does that mean exactly? Because frankly when someone like kh wears stilletos and carries her kid and shopping bags, then drops her kid and doesn’t even have the common sense to change into flats, instead changes into another pair of stilletos and carries her kid up metal steps in the rain, I’m going to say she’s an idiot and a terrible mother!!!
So, basically what you are saying is that we cannot say anything negative about the couple? We have tow the party line. (So much for the First Amendment!!)
I was hoping we could keep sharing our opinions and information about them as long as we are not threatening and demeaning to all parties involved. I have always been considerate of other opinions. I was just hoping for the same consideration in return without being told to go commit suicide and being called stupid because I wouldn’t tow the party line and gush about how perfect and cute they are.
What are your expectations for how the site will be run and about commenting? Are you going to continue allowing us to comment negatively as long as it does not get out of hand?

Yes, please share your opinions but in a respectful way. You can say you don’t agree with her wearing stilletos and carrying her kid. I wouldn’t do that either. I would kill both me and my child.
Just don’t call her names, constantly bash the couple and other commenters if they have a different opinion than yours.

This is like my second time ever commenting on this site, however I look at this website almost every day to read the comments. These girls are really entertaining, funny and I just love the theories and opinions they have. I first came to this site because of Suri,Scientology and because something about this couple is not right. Basically what I want to say is that I’m scared that the site will become a strictly Pro tomkay site and that the people that want to say that tom is a midget or that Katie is brainwashed will get their comments blocked. it’s not fair, I’m sure i’m not the only one that enjoys Libras, Battlemamma’s, Concerned mom’s (etc) comments. Is there a list of words you can’t say??? What about freedom of speech?? what if I say the word Cult, is that bad??? I’m sorry but I want to keep reading the very entertaining comments I’m used to reading on this site. Sorry about my spelling but English is not my first languge.

Just thought I’d add my two cents–
With all due respect Julie, if the people posting here are going to be labeled TomKat fans, I don’t want to post here anymore. There are plenty of fan web sites already. On those sites, if you remotely criticize anything about TomKat, your comment is not posted.
Seriously, I really don’t think they have enough fans left to support a board here. Even the existing boards (tomcruisefan, tomcruiseforever, etc) that have been around for years don’t get many posts anymore.
Anyway, I’ll check back from time to time to see how things are going. Maybe things won’t be as bad as they sound. I’ll catch up with everyone on some other boards. It’s been fun.
Hi Julie, I think am going to love you. This site used to be very nice and many fans used to come here to post but it was hijacked by nasty people. They got to Leora eventually and fans decided to look elsewhere for news on Tom and Katie and Suri. This became and anti scientologist site and as many sites before, fans had to leave than put up with nasty obsessed hating of Tom and Katie and even Suri who is a baby.
I am really looking forward to your administration. I think am going to like you! WELCOME.
Oh I will be telling other fans about the change in administration an dpersuade them to return. It was a fun site before Libraesque and company came here to vent their anger at scientology.

Julie, am sorry for the gush-fest all over you, but you can imagine what it feels like to return after a while and that it is going to be a fan site again. I am beside myself with glee and I am excited. Sorry you have to bear it. LOL.

I have news for you Julie….I don’t know if the number of people who post here is a direct reflection of who is running the site but I have a prediction for you….this site will go from 479 posts to 3….what will those riviting posts say? “tom is HAWT” “Look how pretty Katies shoes are” “Suri is delicious!!!”
If that’s your goal, you will achieve it. I guarantee you the reason people come to this site now (whether they post or not) is EXACTLY what kaykaywife described, and your numbers are going to absolutely plummet when we leave…just an FYI
@Libraesque2007 – Whatever happens to my numbers happens. I’ll say this again and then end it here. This is now a fan site. I am looking forward to building this site up for tomkat fans. I think it’s going to be fun.

Believe me, you will not miss any body. Having four people saying the same things over and over again and spewing hate is not exactly my idea of a successful site. This site had so many fans, they were definitely more than four people hanging around and hating, hating, hating. Many fans come here to look for stuff on Tom and Katie and get diappointed to find it a forum for angry people mostly former scientologists.
Now that is all about to change and yes it will have less posts but more posters, quality not quantity.
It may come as a surprise but just because we are fans does not mean all we do is gush. But atleast we can now comment positively or negatively on Tom and Katie without fearing someone is going to throw it back into our face or leach on it for days.
We are not teens FYI but we are fans who would like to see a decent site for Tom and Katie. Without this so called ‘anonymous’ and co hijacking it.
Libraesque, with all due respect, your delusions of grandeur and self importance are astounding. Well, from where am standing, I think the site is now a fan site. Sorry for those who loved it as a hate and ‘informative site’.
Ok Julie, I imagine that you have read a few of the comments from previous postings ( before you came along) Do you see a problem with the comments, theories, opinions that these girls have? I just want to know because like I said before I always read this site because of the comments and I want to know if this is the end of what is was before??? Hope not

@kaykaywife – A fan site keeps the fans up to date with the stars and their daily happenings. I’ll post pictures, videos, future/current projects they are working on and any rumors that are out there and then will give an update as to whether they turn out to be true or not.
This site is now a place for TomKat fans to come, which believe it or not….they are out there. Sure, I think some things they do are weird. I think every star is weird from time to time and they would think the same of me, but I don’t go bashing them because of that.
Hope that makes sense.

Personally I don’t think it matters if this site has become ‘anti-scientology’ site as Jessy laments. It doesn’t matter if this site is anti- or pro-, as it isn’t a site about Scientology, and her comment explains the motivations of most the ‘lovers’ on TC boards net-wide. And is also the reason for so many anti-TC comments too. Just my opinion.
Very well said Lilianne!!! Your first post is exactly the reason I left this place.
I want to let Julie know that while some of the anti-TC and KH people have said provocative things and called people names before none of them(to my knowledge and I have been coming here for many months) have ever stooped to the level that a so-called “fan” has done several weeks ago. A poster called “Jessy” expressed that she hoped Libra would commit suicide along with all the other haters out there. At the time she said this she even did some gloating about how it appeared that another person called Mia might have killed herself since she hadnt been around in a while.
I can tell you that I havent always liked the tone and content of some of the non-fans and have been compelled to speak up about things that concern me but nothing has ever been said that compares to what Jessy said. That sort of hatred and vileness should not be encouraged. And I can see her back here posting now and acting all sweet and light to you and it disturbs me.
I don’t really have much to say about the future of this site because whatever happens will happen but I do hope that you will stay true to what you have said and take a hard line against anyone who steps out of line.
I tried to find the thread in the archives where the suicide conversation happened but I was unable to so I dont know if I just didnt look hard enough or if it has been removed.
I also want to add my feelings to the InStyle thread that was removed. I am having trouble understanding why that happened. When EVERYTHING else is left on here and can be accessed just by looking. Why that particular thread? I don’t expect you to give me a real answer since you havent done so yet but I had to ask anyway.

Checked this site for the first time in ages yesterday and I found a new writer/ administrator. I am very pleased indeed and though I did not have time to post yesterday as my new job is very demanding. I can’t wait for the site to become a fan site and blossom again. Tia, Jessy, Kris and Lilliane, I share your sentiments completely. I am the most patient person I know but I was driven away.
Julie, am very sure am going to like you very much.
I can bet that there are those who are not exactly happy to have me back.

@bumblebeej – I am definitely not anti or pro Scientology. Will I blog about Scientology stuff from time to time, yes, you can’t blog about this couple and not mention it. But you are so right, this is not a scientology blog. I’ll leave that kind of blogging up to the scientologist, lol!

@Lilianne – yes, any harsh or rude words against anyone will be deleted. I won’t stand for it and will take of getting rid of those kinds of comments as fast as I can. I obviously wasn’t here when the suicide comment was made and I am sorry that happened. It won’t happen again and this is not a place for that kind of behavior.
@Lilianne – Let me answer your question about the InStyle post. We have some very strict guidelines right now about images. I looked on that post several times for where the image was credited that the writer was given permission to use it. Also, there were just way to many rude comments and they had to go. I know deleting the post irritated a lot of people and I am sorry for that, but it was a necessary step in turning this blog around. No, I am not going to go back through old posts and start deleting. I deleted that post and now we are starting afresh!

I am most definitely not a Tom fan and still really don’t have much of an opinion about Katie but I do think Suri is a sweet baby and seeing picures of her is what drew me here in the first place. I don’t know if I will stick around to post much if this place becomes too much like PittWatch because I don’t think that totally idolizing anyone is healthy. I have read some of the postings there and that is what I think goes on there..worshipping at the alter of AJ and BP. I personally can’t understand such behavior and will not feel comfortable being here if that will be the tone of future threads. I haven’t liked the negativitiy here or the constant sniping of this couple but I know I will also not like to read people constantly posting sweet, gushy stuff either. I said before that there needs to be a balance between the two extreme behaviors and that is what I hope will happen here. And that is the last I will say about it since this is obviously NOT a site about me and what I think.
