New “Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie” DCOM Extra

This is a great new behind-the-scenes DCOM Extra for “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie”. Check out this clip as Alex Russo (Selena Gomez) and Harper (Jennifer Stone) scream at the top of their lungs. In this DCOM extra, you get a look into all of the action on the film.

The story of "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" begins in New York with the Russos busily packing for their Caribbean vacation. Middle child Alex is planning to stay back with her best friend Harper while her family is away. When Alex uses magic to defy her mother and go to a party with Harper, a disappointed Theresa insists Alex go on the family vacation.

Upon their arrival at the resort, Theresa excitedly points out all the locations she and Jerry visited when they first met and snaps pictures of the family who, to their chagrin, are dressed in matching tropical outfits.  When a cute wind surfing instructor invites Alex out, Theresa won’t allow her to go.  Frustrated and upset with her mom, Alex wishes her parents never met, prompting an unintended spell to activate.

With the spell in motion, Theresa and Jerry no longer know each other, and Jerry, who lost his wizard abilities when he married mortal Theresa, has regained his powers.  Now, Alex, Justin and Max must find a way to reverse the spell before it’s too late.  When they learn about the all-powerful ‘Stone of Dreams’ through Archie, a local street performer who knows about all the magic folklore, they must work together to save their family.

“Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie” premieres August 28 @ 8 PM PT on the Disney Channel.
