New Zealand’s Next Top Model Contestants Revealed

The New Zealand Herald has been camping out by the recently discover New Zealand’s Next Top Model house and has uncovered the faces of 10 of the 13 contestants! You can see their photos here.

The Herald has also been doing lots of digging to get info about the show – talking to designers and stylists who have helped out on an episode or two – but everyone is keeping their lips zipped. They did get some vague info about a photo shoot or two (which you can read about in the article, I’m not going to spoil it here).

One group of people who are talking though, are the neighbours living near the house the contestants are living in.

“They all seem really happy and excited to be there. I’ve heard a lot of giggling and seen them running on to the bus that comes to pick them up,” one nameless neighbour revealed. “I’ve seen them in their bikinis again out by the pool on a sunny day, which is pretty cool.”

One tidbit I will let loose – a certain America’s Next Top Model host is rumored to pay the girls a visit when they head overseas.

Complaining about models being skinny and pretty is like complaining about doctors for being smart. I am sorry but that’s just they way things are. I understand we all come in different shapes and sizes, and I understand that everyone can be beautiful. But you’re talking about models; you aren’t talking about the average person. It’s like assuming everyone can be a genius. Each person is held to a higher standard in one area of life, just because we aren’t all models doesn’t mean we have to talk garbage about them. If you’re complaining that some show doesn’t make you feel pretty, but are fine with watching a documentary and knowing shit all, well then we can see where your priorities lie.

I think this show needs to get off the air so we can go back to seeing the original next top model with Tyra, when she started the show it was about putting as many diverse people as she could on the show..which she has done. a plus size model won the last season. however this nz version is horrible with all the skinny models who look exactly the same! i cant believe they drive that whole skinny image.. whatever happened to diversity and breaking some barriers in the fashion industry. plus it does not make for good tv. absolutly boring.

Why don’t you all get a proper education, and learn to spell before you start judging anybody?

Whoa kiwi chick. Whats with all the hating? For starters. The fashion industry dont just target “as you say” Belemic Skanks. They are always advertising/marketing larger woman with fuller figures. But come lets be honest. I personally think bigger woman with (and quote) meat on them are attractive. But its one in a million where you actually find a big chick who can pull off wearing a bikini. As for NZ Next Top Model, you are so small minded and nieve. TVNZ only show them walking around (and quote) acting like little bitches who prance around. Because that sells… Who the F*^K is going to want to watch a model based programme on inteligent girls? & its not only New Zealanders who are shocking for judging people. Its everywhere. Be it in Britain or as far as New York. Its what we do as people. Even when we arent trying we are judging. I dont even know you and already Im judging you. And dont even get me started on New Zealand not being orginal. Your opening a whole can of new worms there. For a small country, who is only a mear dot on the world atlas. We’ve made one hell of a impression on the rest of the world. And last but not least. The fashion! Here’s a tip, stop trying to squeeze your wide thighs into clothes that werent designed for people like you… Cause listening to you jump up and down complaining about everything you could possibly think of during the 5minutes that it took you to write up your bitching bulletin leads me to believe you are a larger than life woman. If you cant beat them, join them… Or get off your arse and do something about it!!!

i think its pretty shit that all these people and the people of New Zealand only see skinny people as being hot what about the rest of new zealanders who are not skinny but still have looks, why is it that only the belemic looking girls who dont eat enough get on Television, Its pretty sad to think those who actually have a bit of “meat”get judge while everyone looks at the skinny ones and go she pretty i think they are all damn ugly. Its the same in the fashion industry theres more to people than wearing clingy tight clothes, what about their faces, their bodys arent everything to do by. New Zealanders are shocking for judging people before they know that person, New Zealand Top Model is a prime example, theres not one girl on that show that has real nice facial features and they are all little “bitches”who prance around going look at me i’m way better than everyone else, I alone count as part of the population or does everyone forget that.what about the Real new zealanders where are our fashion? everything is made for skinny “skanks”I like the way i am but its pathetic that we all follow America Can’t you all be orginal? Obviously not
