Both Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey broke up with their partners around the same time, fueling rumors that the two would reunite after several years of being divorced.
In an appearance that is slated to air today, Lachey told Rachael Ray on her talk show, The Rachael Ray Show:
“When I read that they [Jessica and Tony] split up, in my head I said ‘here it comes. I just split up with Vanessa. The timing was just too perfect to resist.”
However, he did admit that a 98 Degrees reunion is possible for the future, as he is looking forward to getting back into music. He told Ray:
“98 Degrees is one reunion that might actually happen at some point.”
He also revealed that he would be willing to go back to reality television, though under different circumstances.
“I definitely would…you know I’m not gonna say I wouldn’t do reality TV again. But I wouldn’t do reality TV in my home with my marriage as the focus.”
That interview really encapsulates Nick Lachey‘s life at the moment. Though I am not the biggest fan of his music, I am interested to see if he will make a return to the industry. He hasn’t released an album since 2006, and he hasn’t done much else since then except date Vanessa Minillo and get in the news for that every so often. As for him and Jessica, I doubt they will ever reunite romantically, but I am curious to see if they are ever spotted out together as just friends. Unlikely, but hopeful. Exes can be friends sometimes!
