A few weeks ago, Jessica Simpson’s adorable Malti-poo Daisy was snatched by a coyote in front of her eyes. Since the dog has not been safely recovered, it is safe to assume that she died. However, most people do not know that Daisy was a gift from her ex-husband,Nick Lachey. Nick is speaking out about the incident and how it has affected him.

He told Access Hollywood:
“I think a lot of people forget that Daisy was my dog too — for years”
He also admits that he did not attempt to contact her after hearing the pup had been snatched.
“I didn’t reach out to her. I’m sure she was upset… I was upset… It was sad to hear that happened, but it’s part of the cycle of life.”
Sounds like Nick is upset as well, though it is a bit disconserting that he did not even contact Jessica in wake of the tragedy. Sometimes you just have to put past feelings aside and be there for someone during times of need.
