If these comments weren’t taken totally out of context and embellished by a media greedy for sales – Nicole seems a bit jealous of Angelina as she downplays Angelina’s works for charity and the United Nations:
The Australian actress – who is about to make her first trip to India as goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Fund for Women – claims the Tomb Raider star gets far too much recognition for her good deeds.
Nicole is quoted by Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper as saying: “It’s not like Angelina is any better than a nurse working in a hospital but she’s getting the publicity for her contribution.
“I have a friend who is a doctor and every year he works in Africa for two months for no money. So everyone is on the same playing field, whether you offer your services as the doctor or as Angelina does.”
Like Nicole, Angelina is also a United Nations goodwill ambassador.
I can’t imagine that Nicole meant those comments with the spin that the media put on it – what do you think?

angelina jolie is the obsession of paps and media, so everything she does, people will make it as the news.
the doctor or nurse friend of nicole is not as famous as angie, that’s why they don’t get their publicity for their contribution.
and is that publicity really matters?
i don’t think angie cares about it either.
she’s using the publicity to make people who don’t know about the issues to be aware. that’s what we call that she’s using her celebrity status for something good.
i still don’t get the reason behind those people who loves to slam others. why don’t they just mind their own business instead?
As far as I’m concerned Nicole Kidman can and should play housewife to her new husband. Maybe, try and give him a kid or something. What! She’s barely going abroad like to India and start crusading like Angelina! She’s sooooooo STUPID! Angelina has been at this for a long time, and plus she gives quite a bit of her own money for these people and charities. Nicole should just SHUT UP, and go and start her little new venture over in India. Let’s see how long she lasts! She definitely does NOT look like the type to go and help in those third world countries. She’s truly gotta be some kind of a JOKE! Get real Nicole, and stop your jealousy with Jolie. If she is truly committed to this type of work, then she will hang in there for years to come, NOT just send money. And, if she does, then she will DESERVE the recognition that Jolie gets. But, only if she continues her work for many years, like Jolie has done. SO, in the meantime, Nicole should just keep her MOUTH SHUT! Besides, she just got married, what happened? Does she not want to be with her new husband anymore? UNBELIEVABLE!!! These so called actresses, especially the BAD ones!!
I think nicole is right.
I mean wat Angelina does is good. But there are lots and lots and lots of people that do humanitarian works more than wat Angelina has done. Yet, we don’t know about them. They should also have this big publicity so people notice them and hopefully donate a lot of money to help them. No offense, but i think Angelina does little thing compare to any other people in the same field.
