Nicole Richie Apartment Hunts in New York

Before Nicole Richie and Joel Madden had Harlow, they were seriously looking for an apartment in NYC to call their own. It looks as though now that life has settled down a bit, and Harlow is now one year old, their search has picked up again.

Nicole and Harlow checked out places in Soho with an agent yesterday, on a rainy afternoon. Nicole kept cheery wit a bright red hat. And when your companion is as cute as Harlow, how can your day be gloomy?

The twosome also made their requisite Starbucks trip, and Harlow, as always, emerged with a cup of her own.

I wonder what sort of place Nicole and Joel are looking for. I think getting their own place in NYC is smart – they are both here a lot for work and different reasons. Plus, it would be nice for them to be able to be a bit closer to Joel’s family, even if it’s only part of the year.
