Nicole Richie was granted a permanent restraining order against the two paparazzi who rear-ended her car last month. Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel must stay 50 yards away from Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow except at public events. The restraining order will be good for three years.
In a statement, Nicole said she fears for her life and worries about the safety of her children: “I am fearful that this continued presence may cause yet another accident, this time with my infant children in the vehicle.”

Instead of being relieved that Nicole can feel safe and secure again, news outlets are focusing on the fact Nicole’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, referred to Joel as Nicole’s husband and Nicole did not correct him. That so totally must mean they are secretly married! Tabs, you need to lighten up. I sometimes refer to my boyfriend as my husband in certain more formal situations where boyfriend seems juvenile and inappropriate. I’m sure Nicole and Joel do that as well. It’s not a big deal.
