It’s official – Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are having another baby! Joel made the announcement on the official Good Charlotte website!

“What’s better than winning an Oscar? I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family,” Joel writes.
I’m so superexcited for Nicole, Joel and Harlow. Nicole has always wanted a big family – she’s dreamed of having three boys and twin girls – and it’s great to see Nicole and Joel are happy, healthy, and ready to see their family grow. They have a new house where they can raise Harlow and her baby brother or sister!
Usually these announcements are made after three months of pregnancy, when the biggest risk period has passed. Therefore, I’m guessing the baby will be due in August or September.
Congratulations Nicole, Joel and Harlow!
poor harlow, now she has to grow up fast and not be the only baby any more. and that makes nicole offically stuck with joel for life. lamming out with one kid may be possible, but with two, well – not so much.
and i get the three month theory, but since we saw nicolce having drinks over the holiday months, i suspect she either isn’t that far along or didn’t realize then that she was preggers.
on joel needs to learn a few things. first, how to effectively use a condom. god has nothing to do with it. it’s either carelessness or planned, but definitely not divine intervention. second, he needs to go back to grade school and bruch up on his grammar rules, specifically how to use contractions. he sould have said “you’re” (the contraction for “you are”, not “your”, which is the singular, second-person possessive.
but with an “s” of course….
I also wish Nicole chose a hotter guy because I don’t think I am quite as cute as her and my guy is a f*k of a lot better looking. She could have gotten a real man- perhaps tan, tall, with a respected job (doesn’t have to be rich), and a strong body. The kind of guy that women swoon over… and she would have been the short cute housewife. Unfortunately, she is with a short okay-looking guy, who seems REALLY NICE, but is still a bit retarded. This match makes her status seem lower. I AM VERY HAPPY FOR HER THOUGH! She seems to really love being a mother. I have 2 toddlers and it is really hard to get anything done, but my kids will thank me for it when they get older.
Those babies will have everything they ever need and all the love in the world. joel may not be the brightest or the best looking but he must know how to really make Nicole happy. When the looks fade away they can be enjoy spending time together as a family, and that is way more important than all of the superficial bull.
hey girls please FUCK YOU ALL…the real victim of this situation is Joel…. he can’t stay with a girl so ugly and who keep drinking and smoking in spite of her pregnance..so please shut up!

I´m sure this child was planned b/c they´ve both talked about it!
So all Joel/GC Fans should be happy b/c Joel found the right (and a great) woman and he´s realy happy with her!

Sorry dudes. I complimented them, but just listen to Joel talk and you will know who the victim is. Of course they are both willingly staying in a relationship.. I just hate to see girls dating down! Nicole had the perfect body and toook great care of herself while Joel was 20 overweight eating MickeyDees? That would make me pretty upset. I mean how would you feel if you tried your hardest to be a sexy man and your girlfriend was an overweight 150 and not too bright.
There is no victim, but I am sad that such a unique beauty ended up with a guy so plain.
Okay, this is about as pathetic, no, more pathetic, than the people on the Good Charlotte site.
For one, birth control is not strictly the man’s job. Nicole could get on birth control but she chose not to. She’s a big girl, she could go to the doctor and get some, but she didn’t. Funny how that’s somehow Joel’s fault.
Next, Bella can’t say a damn thing about Joel needing to go back to school when I noticed plenty of errors in her comment. (IE. Harlow, Nicole and Joel are all proper nouns, that means you capitalize them…and that’s just the beginning).
Finally, what the hell does Joel’s appearance have to do with anything? How shallow is that? And he’s retarded? Oh my God. Geeze, at least have a legitimate reason for your unwarranted hate.
Unwarranted hate? I do not hate him at all! I said he seems like a very nice guy (no one commented on that). He just isn’t very smart. That is an ACTUAL reason to judge someone. Besides if he wanted to lose some weight and dress better he could do it. Lifestyles are also CHARACTER TRAITS.
If he cleaned himself up he could also be more attractive.
You can tell that Nicole tries really hard and I was a bit surprised at her choice of a man. That was my gut reaction.
On the topic of birth control.. there are many reasons to stay away from it. First of all it is unhealthy and has dangerous side effects, ranging from stroke to heart attack to behavioral changes. Even Howard Stern hates that stuff. I don’t believe in pumping my body with hormones or denying myself from menstruating. Many religions look down on it as well.
There are other non-pharmaceutical methods which are pretty dependable. It is obvious they conceived intentionally. I got pregnant with my second baby when I my first was 6 months old. It is a great time to have another baby because they will be close and age and (hopefully) have a friend for life. Plus it is long enough after the first is born that things start getting easier.
They probably were not “trying”, but were not “trying not to” if you know what I mean…
I hope that if she decides to stay with Joel then he would get a vasectomy as it is a safe and EXTREMELY effective form of birth control. Thanks for your time

The issue was brought up so I explained. Lots of people want to hear about this, even if you do not. Choosing not to take pills or shots does not make you irresponsible. Nor does it mean the pregnancy was unplanned- get it?

Yes I say just be happy for them! They are wanting to live their lives like a normal family obviously so leave them be. And I honestly don’t think that Nicole Richie was pregnant or new she was pregnant when she was drinking. She doesn’t seem that low to me. I have a son a couple weeks younger than Harlow and I am pregnant with my second also due in November and I could never be happier and I’m betting she feels the same way and it is sooooo ridiculous how they get criticized over nothing yet other “normal” people out there are doing the same thing BUT WORSE and go unnoticed. Ridiculous! Leave them alone criticizers.
