The playground at Beyond Shelter,a low income housing facility in Los Angeles, is finally complete! Nicole and Joel have been hard at work on this project for over a year! Now kids have the chance to play in their own backyard worry-free!
The launch was dampened by some rain, but even that couldn’t crush the spirits of attendees.
“When we first started coming here, there were no kids outside,” Nicole told People. “To see the place come to life and have a place to come outside and be kids, and have their imaginations run wild, it’s really awesome.”
Yesterday also doubled as an announcement for their partnership with 7-11′s Cups with a Cause. Nicole designed a coffee cup for the convenience store and for every coffee sold in one of these cups, 7-11 will donate the proceeds to the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation. There will be a minimum donation of $250,000, which is amazing!
