In the December 8 issue of Star magazine, bodyguards talk about the crazy things their former clients used to do. (It’s not that crazy.)
For example, Nicole Richie loves sending Joel Madden sexy text messages because she finds them hilarious.
She also shops like a maniac, often dropping thousands of dollars in one trip.
Finally, she demands that her bodyguards dress well and often requests they wear Joel’s clothing line or something more dapper than the usual bodyguard t-shirt and jeans attire. She knows they get photographed as much as she does and thinks how her bodyguards dress reflects on her.
I don’t think any of these things are all that scandalous. The texting sounds more like a joke than a fetish they need to worry about. As for blowing thousands of dollars on shoes and jeans, it’s not like she doesn’t have the money. And as for making her bodyguard wear nice clothes, I think it’s just a smart business move.

what’s with bodyguards talking about the people who give them jobs? didn’t this happen to the olsen twins? nothing they ever talk about is even a big deal. if she makes her bodyguard wear joel’s clothes, good on her for getting it out there for people to see even more.
and seriously. celebrities are basically expected to rarely, if ever, wear the same stuff. so why would she not be spending thousands of dollars on clothes?
Besides, it’s Star… and most of the “former” bodyguards are desperate, apparently…
And I agree with you guys- nothing they talk about is bad… aren’t people with money bound to spend it? And seriously, wearing your bosses boyfriends clothes isn’t the craziest way to plug your product…
