A lot of people tuned in to see Nicole Richie finally tell the world that she is pregnant on 20/20 by Diane Sawyer. In fact, 5.9 million people did.
To give this a fair measure of comparison, Paris Hilton’s post jail interview with Larry King garnered only 3.2 million viewers.
However, the reasons for this are more complicated than people like babies better than cons.

In truth, though, there is no comparing the Richie and Hilton numbers. The Richie interview aired on free TV (ABC); the Hilton one on basic cable (CNN).
Hilton reportedly could have had access to the broadcast airwaves, too, but deals with ABC and NBC broke down, leaving her to discuss her spiritual life with Larry King.
I wonder why ABC found Nicole worthy and not Paris. Money troubles?

I’m not surprised. In Simple Life 4, Nicole always get comments about the kids being more comfortable with her this and that. She will definitely rock as a mother. And yes, she has millions of fans around the globe.
