Star Magazine is reporting that Nicole Richie’s past drug abuse may affect her current pregnancy.
Nicole has been very open about her use of heroin, pills and cocaine. After a stint in rehab, she is now completely clean. However, this might not be enough for the baby.
Star warns that if Nicole had drugs in her system during her pregnancy, she could be at risk for a miscarriage or birth defects.
Star also reports that Nicole’s weight could be an issue. They spoke with Mary Jane Minkin, a prof at Yale, who said she was surprised Nicole could even conceive. “That baby is at extraordinary risk,” she said. “Nicole needs to gain at least 40 pounds to nourish the baby properly.”
I think Star needs to back off. Nicole says she is clean and healthy, why can’t they believe her?!

I think it is so disrespectful for these tabloids to be posting false rumors about anyone unborn child.

nicole is such a strong woman. and she isn’t addicted to drugs anymore. i can’t understand why ppl can’t stop spreading rumours about her or the ppl around her.
i think she’ll be a good mother.
I don’t hate Nicole but you know I think she does need to look after her health more responsibly.She isn’t responsible for her health but for the baby’s health too.

Even though I think she’s gorgeous, I do agree that it’s not enough weight to nourish a baby.
It’s not dissing on her by saying to be healthy. If she wants a healthy baby, she needs to take precautions and health advice. (Not saying “Star” is valid advice, however, generally speaking health advice on pregnancy is not insulting.)
i rly do hope she gains some weight for the baby.

i rly like nicole, but i know that she isn’t healthy.
she needs to be responsable.. drugs can affect everything… healthy, her baby, mental stuff.. she should caree more about life
i think nicole looks healthier then in times before joel came into her life. and i believe she knows what kind of responsibility she has now for herself AND the baby. well it is crappy to discuss things about nicoles private life and her weight. it’s her life and we shouldn’t judge her or anything without knowing what is happening in her life.
