No More Wisdom Teeth for David Archuleta!

Have you ever had your wisdom teeth pulled?  If so, you can probably relate to David Archuleta’s nerves about the whole procedure.  My own extraction was pretty awful (it took 3 hours!) and I was swollen for days so I hope Archie fares better than I did, although I’m sure there’s a ton of you who wouldn’t mind taking care of him while he heals!

Poor David has needed to have them out for a while now but his schedule has kept him so busy that there wasn’t enough time for him to have the surgery and then recover afterwards.  Obviously, singing isn’t a great idea after mouth surgery!

This video blog of David is pretty darned adorable (as usual) so if you are a fan, make sure you check it out!

Did anyone else want to reach through the screen and reassure him?..Well, it’s a few days later now, and apparently everything went well. Good deal!

Yes, I saw the twitpic. That was a little TMI for me, thank you, David! And saying, “There isn’t too much happening..?” Hellloo? He just performed at the Womens US Open, the ALMA Awards, won an award for Year in Music at the ALMAs, is releasing a Christmas CD on October 13, and is working on his next pop album. I think his idea of “not too much” is alot different than that of most folks.

Speedy recovery, David. Can’t wait for your Christmas CD. Have already pre-order as many as Amazon would let a person. Please take care of those cute Chipmunk cheeks. Take care and we’ll see you in RI.

David – I hope you recover quickly from the removal of those wisdom teeth. Can’t wait for your Christmas album to be released — I already pre-ordered as many as Amazon would let me! Thanks for sharing the vblog…take care. See you on your make up show in RI & NH!

I, too, worried as if I were the grandmother to David. Amazing that we are so protective of him. I questioned whether he shouldn’t have been put out for the pulling of 4 teeth, for heaven’s sake. But we don’t know everything. Maybe they felt it was safer for whatever reason. All I know is that it’s a walk in the park when you’re put out. I’ve had both methods and prefer being out. He is a brave young man and I hope he’s on the mend. Don’t worry, David, if the swelling is there for a while. It will disappear. Also, make sure that if you start running a fever, you let your doctor know as well. God bless you, dearheart!

David is amazing, only he would keep his fans updated via his Twitter (and from the Dentist chair)! He really is a sweetheart and I truly hope that he has a speedy recovery from this. Seeing him nervous in that Vlog just made me want to give him a big hug (I’m sure most of his fans wanted to do the same thing)!
Get well soon David, wishing you a very speedy recovery.

David kept in touch with 240,000 @DavidArchie Twitter followers throughout much of the oral surgery, including a twitpic’d photo of himself in the chair with a big dental clamp holding his mouth open. I am not kidding – check it out.

And his subsequent tweets included “1 down 3 to go” and “Those bottom two were rough lol!”. He couldn’t sleep that night and tweeted about the nice rain and looking like a chipmunk. It was an Epic event, especially on the same day as his Christmas album clips were posted on Amazon! What a guy! Love him.

David dear..the mother and grammy in me has been working overtime since
I heard about your “ordeal”! I remember when my daughter and son both had theirs taken out!!! I hope that you are not feeling too much pain. If you can eat applesauce and jello at room temp., that might be soothing. What about having some soups that are just barely warm? I hope that you dentist gave you lots of ideas!!! I bet you are starting to get hungry!!!! My thoughts and prayers have been with you for a very quick and painless recovery!!! Take care David dear!!! We are thinking about you!!! :) :) :)
