Those precocious little trust fund babies on NYC Prep that you’ve been hearing about so much are making their debut on our screens tonight, right after the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, at 10p.m. Will you be watching or have you had enough of Bravo’s rich people shenanigans?
The parents at the NYC Private Schools Blog are countering the avalanche of bad press this show will produce for private school kids in NYC by launching a Donors Choose campaign to donate money to NYC’s public schools. This is obviously a great cause and Donors Choose is a wonderful charity, but why did it take the premiere of this television show to make these parents launch a campaign? It seems like a highly calculated PR move to me.
BravoFan is still very sadly video-less (unless it is on YouTube), so for a taste of tonight’s premiere, check out this clip of the Chuck Bass-ish “PC”

they’re grose snobs. money does’nt buy class. i switched channels half way through and i really pushed myself to make it that far.
I caught one segment and thought I was watching an SNL parody. I had images of little kids dressed up in Mommy and Daddy’s fancy clothes, playing grownup.
They come across as total posers, even more hilarious because they take themselves so seriously .. they truly believe they are high-classers. We were cracking up the whole time. We kept saying… is this for real? Can’t be!
Then a commercial came on and we switched over to ‘Roseanne’ reruns on TVLand.
