A lot of the attacks on OK seem strange in that this was totally positive story. It never claimed to be an exclusive interview. It never directly quoted Lindsay on anything. It was based admittedly on hearsay from a “friend” of Lindsay’s and comments from people in stores that she visited on her outings. She went outside and a photographer took some pictures.

Now Dave has a good point that since Lindsay has been in rehab information is very limited do to confidentiality rules and agreements. So a claim that Lindsay failed a drug test would be likely to be unreliable because this information would be closely held by the staff…confidentiality. How she reacted to having to take the test in the directors office would be unknown one would think. I considered this suspect and wasn’t the first to mention it here. It also seems strange that this was supposed to have happened the day before a series of her being photographed in public outings on Aug 16-21. It didn’t seem to effect the plea deal either and if that had really happened!!! That’s the way I evaluate the tabloid raw data. In this case I agree with Dave …CRAP.

Now Ms. Rice’s lawsuit has been filed but the Three Stooges suit has not been filed. The former is a TBD but I doubt it will be a big win for Rice. What were her damages? I think that it is notable that the TMZ-3 haven’t filed. I’ve speculated that their big payday might have been the money they got from TMZ and that their lawyer’s role was to make that deal and advise them on what to say rather than to go after Lindsay in court. Is it possible that they really don’t want face the light of day? What really was their role at that party anyway? We probably will never know.

The one with the Paparazzi in New York was good with Lindsay on tape saying: “I hit him! I really hit him!” Not the best thing to say but I think he faked it and I doubt that will turn into anything. In some ways she is just sooooo honest.

One thing that we need to consider is that the relationship of any celebrity to the paparazzi and the tabloids is a real “hate-love” thing! On the one had they will do the most negative things including assure that you are arrested (May 26)! On the other had I’m sure if they really did leave her complexly alone she would want them back as being in the news means there is a market for you product (movies, CDs).
