Oprah Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King, confirmed that the daytime talk show queen, along with 100 other guests, attended a private dinner this weekend with President-elect Barack Obama at the historic Blair House which is across the street from the White House (the Blair House website describes the location as “the president’s guest house – I never knew that!).
Gayle went on to show amazement that the media had caught wind of the event since it was supposed to be "top, top secret" and describes the setting as a “buffet dinner.” That’s not exactly the best thing for Oprah who is said to be trying hard to lose weight in time for the inauguration!
