Amy Sherman-Palladino could not have been more right when she wrote "In fact, if you put ‘oy’ and ‘poodle’ together, you’d have a great new catch phrase."
Because, as we well know, it has become just that. I wanted to share with you just how ingrained this catch phrase is in our culture. Sure, Lauren Graham may have forgotten this line, but the rest of us have not!
There are 23,800 search results on Google for "Oy with the poodles already." There is a craft site named after the phrase. It is referenced as an example of an "inherently funny word" on Wikipedia.
