Paradise Hotel 2 Finale tonight!

In anticipation of tonight’s finale of Paradise Hotel 2 on the Fox Reality Channel, here’s a recap to last week’s episode “The Ultimate Power” on Monday night.

As a big fan of Paradise Hotel 2, I’m pretty excited about the finale, which will show at midnight CST Monday, May 19. I really have no idea who will win because the show is known for being unpredictable. Still, I love it. There’s tons of drama.

On last week’s episode (Monday, May 12), the final six contestants remain and are paired as “couples: Mike and Krista (originals that get along well with each other), Zack and Stephanie (these two newbies have somewhat of a romantic relationship together) and Tidisha and Ryan (odd couple, but both originals). All three couples have the chance to win the final cash prize, whatever that may be (the producers have yet to tell us how much money they will win). I also will say that of all the contestants, these last six are probably the nicest of them all. There’s really not one that I dislike. My favorite couple presently is Zack and Stephanie.

The episode starts with the Final Six Breakfast, where the six contestants receive a note telling them that each individual must choose one person who will be responsible for voting off one couple. The twist is that they can’t pick their roommate or themselves (so it has to be one of the other four).

At the vote, it ends up being a three-way tie. Stephanie and Zack each pick Tidisha. Ryan and Tidisha each pick Stephanie, and Mike and Krista both pick Ryan.

Host Amanda Byrum announces that due to the tie, that Ryan and Tidisha are the most popular couple and will get to vote together to vote off another couple (either Zack and Stephanie or Mike and Krista). This puts these two in a strange spot because Tidisha is more closely aligned with Zack and Stephanie, while Ryan hangs out mostly with Mike and Krista.

Before the elimination ceremony, each couple is given the opportunity to talk to Tidisha and Ryan in order to sway them one way or the other.

When Ryan and Tidisha go talk about their tough decision, Tidisha says she is glad they are in the position they are in, but it still is hard. Tidisha says it comes down to voting off her friend or Ryan voting off his friend.

Both like Mike pretty well but don’t exactly like everything that Krista does. They even say if Mike and Stephanie were a couple, it wouldn’t be a hard decision.

“It’s a lose-lose situation,” she says. “You send your friend home or I send my friend home.”

At the elimination ceremony, host Amanda asks Ryan about his relationship with Mike.

Ryan says Mike will probably be one of his best friends for the rest of his life and is happy for the experience because of meeting Mike.

When asked about Stephanie, Tidisha says she is a cool girl and that she couldn’t ask for a better friend in Paradise.

Now comes the moment of truth: Which couple will they eliminate?

Surprisingly, Tidisha says that they debated long and hard about the decision and that it was nothing personal but that they are their competition.

And they choose to eliminate: Mike and Krista.

When Amanda asks Ryan to comment on their decision, he refuses.

Coming to stand by Amanda as the eliminated couple, Mike is visibly hurt that his friend Ryan turned his back on him. Krista says she knew it was coming.

“To be really honest with you, it hurts. I thought what Ryan and I had was pretty real, I mean, I thought it was really real,” Mike says.

He also says that if the tables were turned, that everyone knows what decision he would have made (he would have voted off Zack and Stephanie).

While Mike is talking about how disappointed he is, Ryan is practically hiding behind Tidisha. He doesn’t look Mike in the eye after this point.

So this added twist comes as a shocker to Ryan and Tidisha when announced by Amanda: While Mike and Krista have been eliminated, they will be staying on Paradise along with some returning guests: Lauren, Myrna, James, Chris and Aaron. The six guests will be picking which couple will win (Ryan and Tidisha or Zack and Stephanie).

As everyone heads off to greet the returning guests, Ryan and Tidisha retreat to their room, knowing that they won’t be very popular after their decision.

Meanwhile, Krista and Mike discuss being eliminated in their room, saying that Ryan ripped their hearts out.

Back at the bar where everyone is gathered, James questions Stephanie on whether she would have considered picking him if he would have picked her at the previous elimination ceremony (he was eliminated when Tidisha picked Ryan over him).

Stephanie tells Ryan that he had a “little” chance of her picking him. She doesn’t say that she would have, just that he had a “little” chance. James immediately gets excited about the possibility that he wouldn’t have been eliminated, lashing out at Tidisha, telling her he should have picked Stephanie because she might have picked him.

Tidisha tells James that Stephanie would not have picked him over Zack, because Stephanie and Zack had already “hooked up.” Getting mad, Tidisha asks Stephanie if she told James she would have picked him.

Stephanie says that she told James that he had a little chance, but didn’t say that she would have definitely have picked him.

With this, Tidisha flies off at the handle, talking to Myrna about Stephanie, feeling as Stephanie is trying to drum up votes by “tricking” James.

Really, Stephanie didn’t do anything wrong. So she gave the guy a little hope. Now is not a good time to be pissing people off. She tried to stay neutral by saying he had a small chance.

Meanwhile, Mike confronts Ryan about the elimination ceremony.

“It was wrong, man,” Mike tells Ryan.

Ryan says his friend shouldn’t fault him the one time he had to make a decision and tells Mike not to get in his face.

Mike gets irritated about Ryan’s comment about getting in his face, saying he hopes that it was the tequila talking, storming out.

Back at the bar, Lauren talks to Mike and Krista, telling them she heard that James was happy when she was eliminated. James overhears and denies it, saying he cried in the bathroom with Ryan when she was eliminated. Lauren says her source of the information is Myrna. Mike tells Lauren to consider the source, as most of the guests aren’t in love with Myrna. With that, Ryan and Myrna start getting into it. (No big surprise there).

Tidisha is still upset about Stephanie’s remark to James and confronts her in private. This is pretty crazy because Tidisha keeps telling Stephanie to quit yelling at her, when really it is Tidisha that is doing the yelling. Their friendship looks fragile at best.

Tidisha later tells Zack that James is going around telling everyone that Stephanie would have picked him. Zack says he doesn’t want to get upset, but he is tried of James trying to get to everyone.

At the pool, Myrna, Zack and Chris are in the pool when Myrna and Zack start arguing. Basically, Myrna says that Zack was afraid to be aligned with her because no one else was getting along with her at the time. Well, true. It gets heated with Zack and Myrna yell at the top of their lungs. Aaron walks by and yells at Zack, “Learn how to talk to a lady!” Chris jumps in and tries to get Aaron to calm down, but that doesn’t seem to work.

Back in their room, Stephanie tells Zack that she feels like her dog just died because of her fight with Tidisha.

“Thirty minutes ago we were best friends,” Stephanie says.

Discussing the James’ issue, Zack and Stephanie clear up their misunderstandings. Why Tidisha couldn’t do this is beyond me.

So now the episode is over and all we have left is the finale. From the promo, when all of the guests make their picks, you see the host Amanda telling them of additional “twists.” So it’s hard to say what will happen.

Which couple do you think will win – Zack and Stephanie or Ryan and Tidisha?
