American Idol season 5 contestant Paris Bennett has debuted on the Billboard charts. She’s #1 on the Top Heatseekers chart with her first album, “Princess P.” Paris is the 27th “Idol” singer to appear on the Billboard charts, and by capturing pole position, she gives the franchise its 122nd No. 1, counting all national, domestic charts compiled by the Billboard Information Group. The album is also on the Billboard 200 (#133) and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (#47).
“Bennett’s chart debut means that the season five contestants have now tied the finalists from season three for having the highest number of chart-worthy singers. Seasons three and five have both produced seven contestants who have charted in Billboard. The top seven finalists from season three have all charted, and the top six from season five, plus the contestant who came in eighth.”
Although I have not heard any of the tracks, I believe that Paris will do well. Hey people remeber I said it first.haha

Really?!?!? I guess I’m a little turned off by how she has behaved in the last couple of months – even though she didn’t win, Idol gave her exposure and to turn around and vow to bring it down is wrong.
All the same, you gotta separate the artist from the person sometimes – especially if the person is as young as Paris.
