Ellen Pompeo who plays Dr Meredith Grey at the hit Grey’s Anatomy show thinks that Hollywood socialites like Paris Hilton set a bad example. She even went on say that they are ‘rich and famous for nothing.’

“I just think the media should take this country in a different direction,” the 37-year-old actress tells the new issue of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, on newsstands Aug. 15.
“We’re so focused on the wrong things. We’re teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on: rich and famous girls who are rich and famous for nothing.”
In an apparent reference to coverage of Paris Hilton and her ilk, Pompeo says: “What are we doing to this younger generation? It’s not very responsible.”

Pompeo, what happened to you? You use to be cool, now, not so much. Paris has contracted herself as a business woman. 250 million in contract work alone over the next 3 years! You, not close. Whats the title of your book? You were a runway model? You sang and stared in a music video? You developed your own fragrance? You know Paris developed it from the ground up and is why she kicks ass with it, right? Pompeo, you’re just jealous. You stay down and play the play ground little girl. Paris is 27 and you are lying about your age. You only act. Thats it. Girls aren’t watching your music videos, they are waiting for your charachters next fling with a male super model pretending to be a doctor. Where do you get impressive? You are making social commentary on the soap box of a night time soap opera. Like when does that get real?
