Milo Ventimiglia’s movie Pathology was released to DVD on September 23, 2008, and I had a chance to review it over the weekend.
Pathology, a rated R film, is a twisted tale of terror, and nothing less. It was a fascinating look at human nature, and at what it takes to cross the line from scientist to killer. Ted Grey (Milo Ventimiglia) stars in Pathology as a brilliant medical student with a bright future in his forensics career. And in his home life too, engaged to the beautiful Gwen Williamson (Alyssa Milano), and living a lifestyle of both pleasure and fortune.
However, when Ted joins the most prestigious pathology program in the US, he becomes just another pawn – or player – in a game of death. A game that is part science, but all destruction. His fellow students use their knowledge of horrid deaths to commit the perfect murders – to stump their fellow pathologists. So, the question is, how far will Ted get sucked into the game? And does Ted know enough to keep himself from getting killed in this dangerous game?
I thought the film was excellent, although very graphic and disturbing. It’s not a movie I’d recommend to younger viewers at all. Co-starring in the movie is Michael Weston, who has been a appearing on the tv show House this season as the private investigator. While you may love him on House, he’ll truly creep you out in Pathology.
