Patricia Arquette and Christmas With a Conscience

According to PR.com, Patricia Arquette was at the Christmas With a Conscience event by Fulcage. She has always been a big supporter of Fulcage’s great cause, so it isn’t a surprise to hear she attended. Now, if we can just find a few pictures. Despite tons of shots from the event, WireImage has none of the Arquette/Jane family. I’ll keep hunting, though.

The red carpet for the “Christmas with a Conscience” charity fashion show was lined with Hollywood luminaries such as Nicolas Cage, Patricia Arquette, Thomas Jane, Marla Maples, Tiffany Trump, Cedric the Entertainer, Rex Lee and many other high- profile celebrities. The celebrity Master of Ceremonies was Pauly Shore.

Katelyn, I read that too, and like you, I couldn’t find any pictures of Patricia or Thomas. It would be neat to see some new pics of them at an event like.

By the way, does anyone else find that first sentence of the quote as funny as I do? It’s just so funny to see Patricia listed in the middle of a sentence between her husband and her ex-husband. Seems that they still have an amicable relationship as she is such great supporter of her ex’s other ex-wife. :) That’s great though that they can still be friends. Now if she would just have a talk with her former stepson about that hair and makeup. That’s gotta go!

Speaking of events, did you hear that Patricia got ANOTHER Golden Globe nomination this morning? I think that’s fantastic, but it would be even better if she actually WON one! She’s long overdue anyway. But it may be a moot point unless the WGA grants a waiver to the Globes and allows them to hire a writer, and agrees not to picket. If they don’t, a lot of SAG members have said that they will not attend. So unless the strike is settled (which doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon) or the WGA gives them a pass, it doesn’t look to be much of an awards show. Still, it’s great that Patricia was recognized for er outstanding work again. Chances of winning are slim too, considering the competition.

Katelyn, I’m stuck again. The next sound you hear is gonna be an e-bomb blowing up the spam filter. :)

It almost sounds like the exact same nominations for the women in the best drama series for a Golden Globe again this year. Funny how most of the noms in the other categories are for mostly cable series and not the main networks. Too bad Medium doesn’t get nominated for best dramatic series.

Patricia is staying busy with all of her charitable events – she is also organizing a fund raising ball for the Elysium group in January.

I just read where the directors said they will not try to talk to the WGA until possibly after the New Year – let’s pray they get together anyway, quietly, without the media interferring and work out their differences. It would be good for everyone, especially the S.Cal economy to have these people back at work. Keep in mind if a bunch of these people are out of work and not being paid, charitable contributions will dry up as well.
