Shhhh, don’t tell the IRS. Though I am sure it is all above-board and Patricia was provided with a 1099 for every piece of underwear she walked away with. Unless she got less than $600 worth of underwear, in which case Hanes is not required to give her a 1099. But of course she will still report the income on her income tax return as she is legally required to do regardless of whether or not she receives a 1099. Of course she will!
After reading this, I think she actually will.
But wait! Could replacing official goody bags with exclusive gifting suites all across L.A. really get around the 1099 rules? Oooh, I wonder…
