According to Washington City Paper, Patricia Arquette will no longer be heading to Washington, D.C. for the purple ball. I was so looking forward to seeing some great photos of her wearing an awesome purple dress, too.
Ah, well, at least her reason for not attending makes me happy. She’s too busy working and can’t get enough time off to go, which means she is busy shooting more Medium season five episodes!
In the meantime, we can keep hunting for great photos of Patricia Arquette at recent charity events. I just came across this lovely one of her hairstyle:
Very nice! Just had a thought on that dress – maybe that is her “take THAT” to her soon to be ex hubby – that is if there is any animosity involved, which somehow, I never buy the line, “even though we’re divorcing, we’re still the best of friends”. If that were the case, wouldn’t they still be married?
Will there be more than 19 episodes?!?
Sorry to hear that she won’t be attending the Inaugural Ball after all, but like you, Katelyn, but at least her reason is enough to make me happy. Always glad to hear that they’re busily working on more Medium.

Betty, I don’t know if the dress was really meant to be a “take that” to her soon-to-be-ex, but I’d like to believe that they really are still friends, and they just found that they simply could no longer be married to one another. I hope that’s the way it is anyway.
That is a shame she will not attend, as she is one of the Purple Ball hosts. I have only read one article about her not attending, and still keep reading articles about how she IS going. Perhaps the one article is incorrect?
She is the lead and star of Medium, I am sure they would give her 2 days off. It isn’t like it wasn’t planned for…

Nope, MWA. She wasn’t there. Too bad too, cuz it would have been nice to see her having a good time and all dressed up. I know what you mean about all the articles still listing her as attending. I’ve seen a bunch of them too, and only one that said she wasn’t going, but apparently none of the rest of them got the message (or didn’t bother to check their stories).
