The ladies on the View were talking about companies that are financially stable and had planned to have a company retreat/conference whatever in Vegas and canceled due to fear of people perceiving that in the wrong way – i.e. the banks and insurance companies who asked for billions in bail out money and promptly went back to doing things the same old way – partying it up big time.
Their jist was that if you’ve got the money, go and enjoy because if you don’t you are hurting the people who work in Vegas or wherever you would have gone by not going. Retail stores are suffering and some folks are going so far as to carry in their own brown/nondescript bag to a fancy store so others won’t think they are flaunting their wealth. Others are simply not shopping at all, or shopping online so they won’t be seen buying stuff.
Patricia looked good. They didn’t ask her about shopping or anything else besides the show and her family – brothers and sisters. No one asked about Harlow.
