This is one of those news items that I’ve just been waiting on. Since the Emmys are this Sunday on CBS, and CBS has been promoting Medium so heavily, it only makes sense that one or more of the castmembers would be showing up, right? Well, today we finally got confirmation: Patricia Arquette will be presenting an award at this week’s Emmys.
As much as I adore Patricia Arquette, I kind of wish they would either have more members of the cast present, or choose someone else. I understand that they’re trying to build awareness and she is the face of the show, but wouldn’t it be fun to see Sofia Vassilieva and Maria Lark up there doing a bit? Or at least Patricia Arquette along with Jake Weber.
To be fair, I do believe that there are more people presenting that haven’t been announced yet (this is the third round of announcements), so there’s a possibility that more of the cast could end up on the show. If that’s the case, you can be sure I’ll let you know!

I agree with you Kona. Although it is great PA will be presenting at the Emmys it would be nice to see some of the other cast too.
The whole cast of Medium is great and I would love to see anyone of them present an Emmy or even do an interview to promote the show. We know PA will be on Ellen next Friday.
Yes, I would like to see other members of the cast too. I guess PA is the protagonist and a former Emmy winner though.
I don’t think Sofia even submitted herself for consideration this year, but I thought they might have capitalised more on My Sister’s Keeper and the fact that made her known to a wider audience, although I guess she’s a busy girl, not only filming Medium, but being in her last year of school.
Maria would have livened up proceedings that’s for sure, although hobbling on crutches probably rules her out. Wasn’t there a bit of kerfuffle over CBS originally not showing some of the awards get presented so the actual show was shorter?
By the way, Jake didn’t win an Ewwy award, he was in the bottom three, sharing less than 25% of the votes. It was somebody from True Blood that won his category.
I’m glad CBS included Patricia Arquette in the Emmys to build awareness of the show. She is the main character so that is why they chose her to present. Of course we are already aware of Medium and all the characters so we would love to see all of them.
I just hope that all the promoting CBS is doing for Medium works out so we will have a season 7.
It’s about time Patricia was asked to present. Good for CBS! I’d love to see them have the whole cast present, or Patricia and Jake together or Patricia and the kids. David Cubitt is always easy on the eyes! You can never have enough David Cubitt.
I,too, agree it is about time Patricia was asked to present at the EMMY’s.
I also agree with Betty it would be nice to see David Cubitt there too. Or even to promote the show on a talk show like Patricia will be doing.
As for Linda’s comment about Jake Weber being in the bottom three for an EWWY.
That is a shame. He is a good actor. I love his scenes with Patricia especially when they argue. He should have won an EWWY . But could it be his work scenes that we all dislike so much that cost him the EWWY?
Awesome news! I’m so glad that at least one of the Medium cast will be appearing. I also think it would be awesome to see Jake Weber and Patricia Arquette present an award together.
I wasn’t planning on watching, but I guess now I will, lol!
Amy, I don’t think it was down to the work issues, that wouldn’t make him come last! I think it’s down to the fact that the people who vote over and over again skew younger. I mean I voted once and then forgot about it. I only found out about the results because I started to follow another blog for another show. I don’t remember all the winners, Chuck won two and their fans tend to be quite vocal.
All I can really say is WOW. CBS has done more for Medium than I could ever hope. If the show dosent do well I for one will be baffled. NBC never went even close to promoting like CBS has. PA will be on Ellen the day of the premiere to promote and now she is going to be on the Emmys. Quite frankly, I dont care whos on the Emmys promoting the show, as long as they are promoting it. I have said all along that Friday night at 9 on CBS was a death trap, but CBS is doing everything in its power to get the show going. All kinds of tv commercial promotions, emmy promotion, ellen promtions, internet promotions. WOW. Not to mention the old viewers from NBC. Tag Lines putting Medium with Ghost Whisperer and Numbers: something they havent done in the past four years withthe death trap at 9. I have high hopes that Medium will do well as long as the stories continue to do well.

Yes CBS is doing a fantastic job promoting Medium so cross your fingers it does well in the ratings so we could continue to watch for a few more season’s.
I hope it doesn’t fall into this DEATH TRAP but if it should I would hope CBS would try it on a more popular tv night before dumping it.
