Patrick Dempsey on The View

Patrick Dempsey dropped by The View today to talk to the ladies about life as Grey’s Anatomy’s McDreamy.

They talk to him about his character’s upcoming story arc where he steps back from his career as a surgeon to re-evaluate things. Barbara Walters presses him about the future of MerDer (guess she’s a fan!).

MerDer News: He reveals that there will be both a proposal and a wedding this year! Yay!

Regarding Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight he says he doesn’t know anything about them leaving, but that everyone’s under contract and that during these hard economic times everyone should just be grateful to have jobs.

We were talking about this on the Grey’s boards yesterday. He said union in respect to MerDer. That could mean that they get engaged, but not married. What we all think will happen is that AI will get married because Izzie is terminal. Shonda said that there will be a wedding, but she didn’t say whose.

He’s such a sweetheart in RL. I always enjoy watching an interview with him. :)

He said there was going to be a wedding. He did NOT say it was MerDer’s. ;)

I’m so proud of Patrick. Success may come and go in life, but character stays forever. It is just awesome to see how much he has grown inside. Patrick is definitely a “McDreamy” inside and out. Love what he’s doing with his foundation and the nice, warm attitude and respect he shows for his fans.
