I love this. Legendary stage actress, Patti LuPone won a Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical last night. Watch till the end – they try to shoo her off by playing the “get off the stage” music, and she lets them have it.
For those of you who don’t know, LuPone played Marc’s mother in Ugly Betty’s season 1 episode 1.18, Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell . That one did not end well (Marc’s mom basically disowned him), and there is talk of LuPone returning to the show in season 3.
She is such a marvelous actress (talk about adding ‘heart’ to the show!), we can only hope this comes to pass.

She definitely had the best line of the night: “Shut up, it’s been 29 years!” She’s so awesome, I hope she comes back next season! Although after that fight with Marc… that doesn’t seem very likely
