TV Guide has put together a list of Television’s Top Canines. The list appears in the October 27th issue of TV Guide.
Here are the top 10 TV dogs:
- Snoopy (Charlie Brown)
- Lassie (Lassie)
- Eddie (Frasier)
- Triumph the insult comic dog (Conan O’Brien‘s puppet dog)
- Doc (Grey’s Anatomy)
- Vincent (Lost)
- Elizabeth Taylor (Sex and the City)
- Tinkerbell Hilton (The Simple Life)
- Scooby-Doo (Scooby-Doo)
- Paul Anka (Gilmore Girls)
And what did they have to say about dog Paul Anka?
“So what if the Gilmore Girls bearded collie couldn’t croon as well as his pop-star inspiration. Lorelai’s shaggy sidekick was a perfect companion during her estrangement from Rory and he was the only Stars Hollow local who didn’t feel the undying need to fire off quips at the speed of light.”
And here’s a tribute video to Paul Anka:

[...] And if you missed it, dog Paul Anka was recently named a ‘Top Dog’ for TV. [...]
I am so happy that Paul Anka made the list. He is SO adorable. But he is definitely not a bearded collie. I think he is a Briard.
Aw yay for Paul Anka.
But though I also love Grey’s Anatomy I would have never thought Doc would have been so high (or even on the list for that matter). I like Paul Anka better.
Ugly tinkerbell made it over cute Paul Anka. I love Paul Anka and all of his quirks.
