So amigos, Paula Abdul‘s website says that she is planning for a new album that will be released this summer. I kind of like the new single but I’m not sure about a whole album. I’m thinking she should have waited to see how this single really does before making such a big announcement. If the album flops, do you think it would affect her position on American Idol? At the same time, it is a great time for a comeback. I’m just not sure.

Paula loves to perform, that is what she does. She even said herself, even though she has to deal with pain, she isn’t going to let that stop her. I admire her for keeping on going, much like my mom with her illness, sometimes you just gotta keep pushing through it. Please give Paula a little more credit, she isn’t dumb like Britney, who brought all of her problems on herself.
I think it’s a great idea. I’m a huge fan and can’t wait to hear new music from her. I’m so impressed that she decided to do the preshow at the superbowl, it’s awesome to see her perform again. Especially with all the injuries she has had in the past and the pain she deals with with her illness, she is definitely a trooper. I don’t think it will matter too much what happens with the album, this is something she wanted to do and she went for it. Her fans are going to stick by her and support her, but of course she wants her album to do well and so do the fans. I don’t think things will change too much with her being on AI either. It’s one of those things, if it works, it works, if it don’t, it don’t. lol Paula seems really happy and excited about it, I’m very happy for her, it seems she is in a really good place in her life right now.
I wouldhave ore faith in her album if she weren’t all sex kitten and really not as young as she once was. We know she can’t do a more mature album because she was always “dance” girl and doesn’t really have a voice no matter how much protooling is done. The problem is – Paula says she is always in pain – if she is in so much pain,how is she going to perform?
This superboawl show may actually turn out to have a Britney style melt down if the pain kicks in or if she self medicates to cover the pain.
