PETA Says Jessica Simpson Doesn't Have the Right to Eat Meat

jessandashspjun_26_sp.jpg

I’m sure Jessica Simpson never meant to get people all up in arms when she wore that “Real Girls Eat Meat” shirt. (Well, maybe she wanted to get Carrie Underwood all up in arms but no one else.) I’m all for people expressing their opinions, and if someone wants to eat meat or not eat meat, I could really give a care less.

But I’m NOT cool with people telling others how to live (with this being a free country and all). I was fine with Jess wearing the shirt, fine with the PETA folks saying why people shouldn’t eat meat. The problem I now have is that PETA is saying Jessica “doesn’t have the right to eat meat.”

Well, gosh, here in the good old U.S. of A. she sure as heck does. Apparently a spokesperson for PETA, Alistair Currie, said:

“Jessica Simpson might have a right to wear what she wants, but she doesn’t have a right to eat what she wants – eating meat is about suffering and death. Some people feel like they are standing up against a tide of political correctness when they make a statement like this – what she is really doing is standing up for the status quo.”

No, Alistair… what some people (Jessica) is doing is wearing a shirt to tell her boyfriend’s ex to get off of her back. Stop calling and emailing her man and let them live! THAT’S what she’s doing, NOT making a political statement.

Maybe instead of pontificating the folks at PETA could educate people. A little honey goes a long way, that’s what my granny used to say. (Especially when it’s on a nice big hunk of MEAT!)

haha….

Maybe the fplks at PETA would be happier living in, say, North Korea, where the government tells you what to do.But this is America and I say to PETA et al, f@ck you! I’ll make my own decisions without some lowlife, no-nothing, left-wing crazy”s opinion. You don’t get a veto concerning what I or anyone else does or eats. Poof! Be gone, ho.

First off, bad wolf you sound terribly intelligent when you bad mouth people. (sarcasim) I am a vegetarian and I personally find Jessica’s shirt very offensive. I do not challenge her right to voice her oppinions because yes, this is America and yes, you have the right to do as you choose. She does not have the right, however, to bad mouth other people’s decisions under this same statement. Jessica chose to be in the spotlight and while yes celebrities are human beings like the rest of us, they are held to a higher standards of behavior. I would have hoped that being a public figure, Jessica would choose clothing that does not offend large groups of people. All that will do is make Carrie look like they better person.

The PETA Can just go F&$% themselves. This is a free country and a person can eat meat whether it is build for the human system or not. Being vegitarian myself I “Choose” to be vegan not because some hypocritical group who kills more animals thn the aspca tells me to. It just seems like this eco terroistic organazation will do everything in there power to created a vegan society with there propaganda.
