PETA isn’t done with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen In honor of their upcoming birthday on Friday, the organization for the ethical treatment of animals wants you to send MK and Ash your hair clippings with this note:
“Please, use my hair instead of the animals. Happy Birthday.”

While I think fur is wrong, this is going a bit too far. Why can’t PETA target organizations or the government to assert change and not celebrities? Besides, they’ve been bothering Mary-Kate and Ashley for so long, I doubt it will make a difference. I’m sure they get their mail screened.

Oh, go watch some video where they’re taking off the animals’ fur. It’s on YOUTUBE. You’ll understand why we’re so against it. The olsens are not just wearing it. They’re including it in their fashion line too. I’m a fan of MK and A. I’ve loved them since I was a kid, but I never liked the fact that they wear fur.
I think PETA is doing the right thing. The olsens have an influence on a lot of teenagers all around the world. Girls might start wearing fur too and they’ll say, “Well, MK and A wear it, so why shouldn’t I?” It’s basically all about bad influence. That’s what PETA is concerned about.
PETA sounds like fascism to me. It’s totally okay to have your own views, but don’t take it to the extreme like that, if anyone had all the anwsers then they would be god.
I don’t think Mary-Kate and Ashley have any influence on their fans with their passion for fur. It’s not like we’re all going to wear it, because they are wearing it too. So, I agree with your view on PETA. They’ve got to leave Mary-Kate and Ashley alone, it’s their decision and there’s no need to call them the Trollsen Twins.
Agree with JJ.
why can’t they wear Stella McCartney or insted-design with faux fur for their both lines Elizabeth&James and The Row..?
peta sucks. it’s not a cause, it’s a damn parade.
I think role models should make kind decisions when it comes to fashion. PETA might be a little silly, but I like their message.
