Pete Wentz: Hoodie Man

Pete Wentz shopping at Ermenegildo Zegna in Beverly Hills. Even in the high temperatures Pete was wearing a winter hoody!

He’s a rocker, hubby, soon-to-be dad, and now, designer. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Pete Wentz is your new hoodie man! Which seems natural, because it’s not like the guy is going to design handbags. He sat down with the Chicago Tribune to talk about his new hoodie line for Clandestine Industries line of hoodies (and some other things.) Here’s a couple highlights.

With regard to his involvement in the hoodie line, Pete claims he is very into (almost) every aspect of the line. He says:

“I insert my ideas into everything from creation to marketing and come up with the initial sketches—though I am not particularly wicked with the needle and thread. I also have a great team that I rely on and are the glue who hold Clandestine together.”

When asked about why he decided to do a fashion line, he said:

“It’s kind of like asking a tiger why he likes the jungle better than the cage. It’s no fun being stuck in the zoo.”

Uh. Okay.

And when asked to “rank” his occupations in order of priority:

“For sure, my family always comes first—but as far as my career goes, I’m not the kind of person that prioritizes, but I would say my band Fall Out Boy comes above anything and everything else I do.”

Jess and Ashlee readers, will you buy Pete’s line of hoodies?

I would buy the hoodies. I love them, so comfy. If there’s a few cool designs, & as long as they’re not crazy expensive, I would buy a few.

Jessica: They are kinda pricy. (In my opinion, at least.) Hoodies start around $50 and go up to $75.

Oh gosh, Pete can forget it then, I can’t afford $75 hoodies, lol.
