Entertainment Weekly asked the Jonas Brothers and Pete Wentz for their list of five favorite music videos. Both lists contained some very cool videos, of course. But I did take exception to the Jonas Brothers listing “Take On Me” as their top favorite. Especially because they covered that track and totally butchered it! Perhaps it’s just me, after all, I loved the A-ha version myself:
That video is STILL so unique that it totally holds up after all these years. I did happen to catch the Jonas Brothers on Dancing with The Stars and can’t say I loved their version of it too much:
Can you honestly compare the two? Anyways, they also said they liked Fall Out Boy’s “Dance Dance” – and I couldn’t agree more. I love that video – it’s great to see Pete Wentz play the nerd who becomes the popular dance guy. Here it is for those that haven’t seen it:
Pete Wentz said Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” topped his list. Again, the video truly marked a change in music and began a new era of look and sound with videos:
Check out the list for yourself and see who YOU think has the better list. (My vote goes for Pete.)
