As I was looking over Patricia Arquette’s various red carpet looks, one of the things that I noticed is that several of my favorites came from the SAG Awards. I don’t know why it is, but she seems to generally bring her “A” game to this event. So did she keep the streak alive this year? Yes and no.
There’s a lot to like about the dress she wore to this year’s SAG Awards. I love emerald green, and this color goes great with Arquette’s hair and eyes. It’s also a flattering shape, and doesn’t appear to be damaging any part of her. I’m not wild about the sleeves; they don’t really add much aesthetically, and I have a feeling that people aren’t going to be thrilled with the sequin-y material. However, overall she and husband Thomas Jane both looked great. Unfortunately, Arquette lost the award to Julianna Margulies for The Good Wife, but hey; at least she’s on CBS!

I think the Globes dress had a bit too much going on with it. I like this one sooo much better and her hair looks wonderful. And how did I manage to completely miss the SAG awards show? Somehow, even though I knew better, I thought it was tonight. Rats.
I LOVED this look, Kona. She was totally fierce last night. The color of the dress was gorgeous for her, and the vintage earrings and cuff bracelet, not to mention the fabulous emerald ring, were incredible. She was slightly off the mark at the Globes, but I think she hit a homerun with this look.

Much better than the Golden globes. I wish Patricia would have won, but at least she was nominated.
Don’t care for Thomas Janes shabby beard look. I’ve never liked the in between – either grow a beard or shave – don’t care for the 2 days old beard look at all.

Poor Patricia. No matter what she does, she can’t win with these idiots. Honestly, no matter how bad she has looked at times, she has ten times more fashion sense and taste than any of those so called “fashion” or “style experts”. And seriously, JOAN RIVERS is giving style advice to other people?!! HEL-LO!! Look in a freakin’ mirror, lady!!! I thought this was one of Patricia’s best red carpet looks ever, and she’s still getting raked over the coals by all these supposed style bloggers. I hope that she doesn’t read all that stuff, or if she does, that she doesn’t pay any attention to it. Her husband has said that she has the thickest skin of anyone he’s ever known, so I hope that’s true.
I wish that there was some way to turn the tables on all those people ho sit at home on their computers and point fingers and laugh at others. Payback would be so sweet!
At the SAG Awards, did anyone else notice Thomas Jane gesturing quite angrily towards the camera while Alec Baldwin and Felicity Huffman were about to present the Best Actress award to Julianna Margulies? The camera cut away quickly and went back to Baldwin and Huffman. I Tivo’d the show, so I was able to play it back a few times and was trying to figure out what he was saying. My guess is that it was something along the lines of: “If you don’t get that bleeping camera out of here…” I guess he must have been trying to protect his wife, but it seemed a bit over the top. I don’t know anything about him, but I wondered if perhaps he might have had a few drinks. I thought I would see a lot of buzz about it the next day, but so far I haven’t noticed anyone chatting about it. (In any case, he’s a very sexy-looking guy!)
