x17Online has just posted aeriel pictures of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes new house. They are saying that the couple spent 30 million buckaroos on their house and that they will be moving in soon. So, what can 30 million dollars buy you? How about thirteen thousand square feet, a pool, tennis courts and nine bedrooms. Hmmmm….I think that might be enough room for me and my family.
According to the LA Times blog, this house was formerly owned by the founder of See’s Candies, which is some of the best candy in the world in my opinion! X17 added that this sounded like the perfect place for sweet little Suri Cruise to grow up. Awww, I agree.
My husband and I have been house hunting today and suddenly everything we have looked at seems so small, lol! I hope Tom, Katie and Suri will enjoy their new home once they get moved in and settled. I also hope they don’t lose Suri in that big ‘ol house. They better put a GPS tracking device on her. 
He sounds like he knows what he talking about legally on the People’s Court.
I don’t like gossip sites much, their focus and humor seems mean to me, but that’s just me. I think TMZ does check facts on some stories more than other gossip sites, at least stories they aren’t just reporting from other places. But I think theories are still just theories, someone’s interpretation of facts.
I can’t seem to find this story we’re talking about on TMZ so not sure what their facts or theories are. Maybe I missed where to find the article?

I guess I don’t think gossip sites are the same as a fan site like this–just my way of thinking about them though. I do like fan sites!
TMZ do some times get their facts wrong. Their reporting is also biased a lot of times. Besides their allegations were never backed up with concrete evidence. I do remember them raising questions about Suri’s birth certificate which were based on their own theories. They were never followed up and Tom and Katie’s people were never asked to clear that up. Birth certificates are personal and should not be released to gossip sites. Besides if TC wants fake a birth, why not forge a proper certificate, that can’t be that hard.
I know many people would like to believe that Tom is not Suri’s father but aside from the fact that she looks so much like him and seems to have his character, you have to look at the timeline of events.
If Suri was born in Jan or Feb, then She is Tom’s since that is more than 9 months after Tom and Katie started dating. Why fake an April birth then?
If she was born in November or December, then that means that Katie was 7-8 months when she first appeared pregnant in the purple silk blouse at Connor’s game which is ridiculous.
It also means that she was about 5-6 months pregnant when she appeared on Letterman in 2005 which is not even plausible for a pregnant woman to have such a slim waist. Also remember at Oprah’s dinner where she was wearing white in 2005, she cannot have been 4-5 months pregnant.
Then there is the weight she put on after having Suri when she appeared at the opening of MI3 in May 2006 17 days after having Suri, that cannot have been faked.
When we first saw Suri in November 2006 at their wedding in Italy, she did not seem one year which she would have been if these conspiracy theories are to be believed.
If you think about it, any pregnant woman watched closely and critically analysed will have their belly change size depeding on what they were wearing.
Everything aside, there are too many people involved to TC would never get away with it.

It all depends on how one carries the baby. I was always very small when pregnant. I had some problems with bleeding when I was five months pregnant with my first. I went into labor and delivery and the nurse kept telling me I didn’t look pregnant. And I was skinny then–size 7. I just carried the babies more inside and did not put on a ton of weight. At nine months, I looked about as pregnant as KH supposedly did at 4-5 months.
I have a sister-in-law who looked like a 4-5 month old pregnant KH the week before she had her fifth baby.
What’s nice about not getting that big, you have less weight to loose to get skinny again–hee, hee!

When did he admit this? I don’t see how wearing a fake belly throws off paps. And when did Katie wear a fake belly? How do you expalin her lack of weight gain in Dec, Jan or Feb when she supposedly gave birth but in April/ May?
No one, even Nicole Kidman can look at flat stomached as Katie was when she was supposedly 4-5 months pregnant. Most people who usually don’t know admit weight gain at least. Besides that does not explain the glaring inconsistencies in the conspiracy theories.
my theory, for whatever it’s worth, is that tom knocked katie up right away, like right away. not fact, just theory.

You heard a tabloid report that she collapsed in a restaurant full of people and in an age where camera phones are a dime a dozen……………not one pic has surfaced of this collapse.
At the particular restaurant where this collapse supposedly happened the paps were everywhere.
If they can get close enough to capture what’s on her plate, surely they can capture a collapse.

yes, the great thing about living in america is you can make that much money to afford multiple houses and a 1500 square foot closet (just an example) when the world is entering a global crisis with food prices….. it’s okay, sure when the ones who suffer are those in poor nations who make less than $1 a day. energy is more important, to fuel our cars and gadgets, to ship goods from country to country, to buy imports……..sorry, the situation really riles me up. not everyone has to live that way, nor can i respect people who have nothing to flaunt except wealth. tom cruise, yeah, you have some acting chops. katie holmes, you merely married well. tom, you never spent so much money so flagrantly, not with nicole, not with penelope…. no one until katie.

and for whoever said that they bet celebrities donate money secretly to charities….. well, i bet the reverse, actually. whatever celebrities do donate, they do it flagrantly…..see, this is the problem with this charity culture that seems to have taken off, but i have to say for the most part it seems rather uninvolved and superficial…. for example, those good-cause rubber bracelets, ribbons, celebrities…..though i do admire brad and angie, i can see the view of their criticisas well…….anywyas, it has to do with the whole image obsession i think, and even charity and philanthropy have a lot to do with looking well…. but it’s really sad. something’s way offf here.
There are no pictures anywhere of that Gospel Brunch at the HOB but we know there was one. HOB does not allow any picture taking or video recording.
Also there are events that Tom and Katie attended where there are no pictures taken………….The Night Before Party is one and Tom at the Clinton/Guistra initiative. Tom was there and not a pic has surfaced.
As for the bowling there actually is a pic ( the person who took it said he was not allowed to take inside but managed to take one of Katie and Suri as they were leaving)
As for rescuing motorists there is proof to that from no better source than those rescued.
Also, Tom and Katie attended their post wedding party in LA………….not a pic of them has ever emerged, many of their guests but not of them, yet we know that they were there.
Tom had lunch with Sumner Redstone recently at the Polo Lounge, we know that because Sumner Redstone himself confirmed it…………..I haven’t seen pictures. Have any of you?
About the house…………It’s beautiful. I know the tabloids are reporting it cost $35 million but who knows for sure.
Do we know why Tom went and met with that antique?
As far as the picture thing goes, I am not sure what to believe. But I think if you settle in LA you have to accept what comes along with that. The paps are scary. I wish someone would stalk one of them to show them what it feels like. I bet they couldn’t handle it.
This is off topic but fun: Where I live there is one BIG/HUGE star that walks around, gets his coffee, goes to baseball with his son, no one bothers him. I think it’s great.
I think most stars could acquire that if they play their cards right. It’s about choices.
But if Tom wants a 35 million dollar house honestly, its his money he can do with it what he may. Not everyone has to be a Warren Buffett, and even that guy flies around in his private jet, so be it, he can if he wants.
I think in LA the pap situation seems to be so out of control.

I think every one has to use their common sense and judegement when it comes to tabloid reports. Like Mary said, how can Katie collapse and we see no pictures and yet they have a picture of what she was eating that day? And why do we hear about it two weeks later in ’star’ magazine?
As for the pregnancy theories, pray tell, how was Tom supposed to tell that Katie was two months pregnant to choose her? If this is a grad conspiracy, then choosing a bride on a whim is ridiculous. And why don’t we see her 4, 5 or 6 months pregnant in June July and August? Remember they were every where and Katie’s stomach was as flat as a surf board.
Some of these theories are so ridiculous and sometimes I think people regurgitate them just to be annoying.

I agree with your last post, about the timeline of Suri, and what I have always thought, why is that our business anyway. That Suri is heaven on earth.
You are right Kelly, TC does not NEED SR. And tc’s last couple of movies are PROOF positive of that!
And kh last movie is PROOF that she too can do it on her own!
Whatever it is they are trying to accomplish on their own, they are doing it. AND getting tabloid coverage to boot.

Why the exaggeration? no body can replace Britney Spear in the paps headlines not even Branglina, and Jennifer Aniston. In last week of tabs mag (check magazine.com), Britney and Angelina Jolie were in two of the top tabs mag cover (Star, Us and In Touch), Katie (Life & style…coz of weight loss) and Jennifer in one. And this week goes to Britney.
If some ppl who criticize Tom and Katie and say some of the nastiest things I have read about them, believe these two are over or not worth it anymore, then why waste time in trying to convince ppl of their worthless? I wouldn’t waste 1 mins in celebs I think are worthless….Pairs and Branglina comes to mind.
I totally agree with you guys. I used to be a huge fan of Brad Pitt. I liked Aniston too but I never got the hype when she was with Brad, they seemed unsuited to me. I think Brangelina is even worse. Now Brad looks like he wants the ground to swallow him. He has no balls any more so I decided to quit him. But I never go to his fan sites attacking him.
My theory about SR and TC is that. SR realised that there is only one Tom Cruise and stars are not created over night. That is why he has on two occasions retracted his 2005 statements about TC. He even said that he was quoted out of context in VF magazine. Remember SR and his buddies have a lot of stock in pharmaceutical companies and must have been mad when TC dissed psychiatry and anti depressants. Also Cruise pay demands for the Mission Impossible movies where he earned 100 million including DVD sales for MI 2 and 3 and war of the worlds did not go down well with SR .
Paramount then decided to promote new and upcoming talents like Jake Gyllenhaal. SR believed that a good script is all it took to make a hit. He even personally promoted Zodiac which was a good movie with rave reviews. Well it bombed and with no apparent reason.
I guess critics would like to believe that TC was more interested in the reunion than SR, but for us who have been following the events, we know who was. SR has alienated every one, his kids, business partners, lawyers etc. Spielberg’s studio dreamworks is severing ties with Paramount in early 2009. Other Paramount production companies like Plan B are really doing badly.
TC has clout and is very influencial in hollywood, his studio is building up well after the funding deal with Merryll Lynch. I guess he just took the olive branch that SR held out. It is a small industry with few players, you never know when they will come in handy.
I just reread Puckhappy’s post and the part where he/she says

Last couple of movies??? As far as I know there has only been one low budget movie of Tom that has come out since the split. And even that movie did much better than other movie with the same genre and not to mention better than other A list actors with low budget movies.
I’m not surprised Tom met up with SR. After all don’t they have projects that are still owned both by Cruise production and Paramount? What will happen to those project?
And whatever the critics say, Katie’s movie “Mad Money” actually did better than most of her movie before she met Cruise. Was everyone expecting her moive to do better because she is with Tom Cruise now??
In all honesty, KH’s latest movie actually did better than other big actresses movies…it did better than the big budget movie “Invasion” staring NK,which costed $80m compared with Katie’s $6m….did better than Angelina Jolie’s moive “A Mighty Heart “, it did better than Jennifer Aniston’s last low budget comedy “Friends with Money” and etc.
I’ve always thought that Tom and Paula handled what Redstone did very well. It was always about being unable to agree to terms with Paramount, about money, it was never a decision made by Redstone even though he acted like it was at the time. The fact that they announced financing within a week or so makes it pretty clear they had decided to cut ties with the studio. And Redstone later blamed the media for making it all up somehow. I don’t think he ‘needs’ Tom but it’s all about making money and if there’s a deal to be made he thinks will make him some, he’ll make it.
Tom set up the lunch with Redstone in a very public place he knew they would be seen. It was reported, Redstone talked like he does. Tom said nothing and everyone started speculating about what’s going on. But nobody really knows and won’t till they tell us.
In case my previous post gets deleted or edited I will re-state my point in a more positive way. I would like to say that it is my opinion that it isn’t really better to bash a celebrity and say unkind things about them at a site for a different celebrity than it is to do at a site in their name. To say unkind things about Brad Pitt (or anyone) here at TomKat isn’t any better than if a person did it at PittWatch or any other BP site. Unkind is still unkind and bashing is still bashing no matter how you slice it. I also wanted to point out for anyone interested that this site in particular was not initially being portrayed as a “fan” site. I have gone back through the archives (as far back as 2005) and most if not all of the topics were unfavorable about TC and KH.
I always had the impression this site was a fan site since they posted all news about Tom and Katie. But what ever it was before its a fan site now and that is what matters and all thanks to the new mod Julie.
Since the new mod took over there seems to be a real discussion going on unlike before….with in the last 2 weeks alone I’ve read new information about not only Tom and Katie and their movies but other topics and its much better than the ridiculous name calling and abuse that use to be thrown around on this website.

Lilianne – you can not base what this blog’s purpose is based on the archives. No matter what the archives are, this blog is now a fan site. A new writer was hired to turn this blog around and stop all the negativity, name calling and rude behavior. That is my job and my intent is to continue to make this for the fans out there. They need/want a place to go to enjoy their tomkat news for the day without being called names and without seeing negative posts.
The archives are archives, they will remain here but the direction of the blog has changed completely.
I will direct this post to two people. First to Valentine..thanks for the nice words but I am not really “still around”. I do occasionally check in from time to time but refrain from commenting unless I feel strongly about something. I said something today because it has never been a secret that hypocrisy really bothers me and there is within me something that compels me to speak up about it. That is all I will say about that issue. I don’t comment here more because I do not feel welcomed or wanted here. Many of my comments have gotten deleted and that really bothers me when I feel that I go above and beyond to follow comment rules and I get censored and I see others posting comments that I feel are out of line and mean to other posters and they dont get censored. I can give MANYexamples but will not because it is a waste of my time and won’t make a difference in the situation.
And to Julie. I don’t really know why you felt the need to direct a comment to me when I had not directed one to you but there it is. If you actually took the time to read back through any of my previous comments you would begin to get an idea of the kind of person I am and you would know that I have defended TC and KH many times in the past and that I have ALWAYS made an effort to be kind to others and not be verbally abusive even when they have treated me in such a fashion. But that doesn’t seem to matter now. I feel like you have decided you don’t like me or most of my comments and that is why you delete me. I realize (since I am not stupid) that this site is NOW a fan site. I only made a comment about it at all because it has bothered me to read people saying that they are glad this place is once AGAIN a fan site when it never was to begin with. I am a big fan of accuracy in much the same way I am of people not being hypocrites. It is just the way I am made. I want to add that I feel like you and this blog are really missing out what I can add to this site. But that is not my loss. Anyway…this comment will probably also get deleted since I am sure you will find something within it that you feel is inappropriate or you will feel that I am criticizing you. I am not…just saying how I feel. But it is ok if this gets deleted and people don’t get to see it. At least you did and that is all I really care about.

Tom and Katie’s new home is “small” compared to the home/estate of Will and Jada Smith and quite a few other Hollywood homes…………The home of Will and Jada is to use Julie’s word “ginormous”
It’s nice to see that Tom and Katie now do own a home instead of renting.

Tia, thank you for the kind words. I appreciate them very much. I remember you ,too, from before. As for commenting here more often…I don’t see that as a possibility for me right now. As I mentioned in a previous post I haven’t felt welcome here since the recent changes to the site. I no longer feel like I can express my opinions without having my posts scrutinized to the point of being deleted. So what is the point of even trying?
I feel like you can follow a celebrities career and be interested in them and what they do without liking everything about them and I feel like it should be ok to express what you like and do NOT like without someone jumping on you or being hateful. I think that as long as you yourself are not being mean and spiteful with your words and are not name calling then you should expect the same behavior in return from others. I think it should be ok to have a different opinon from someone.
So anyway…with the situation being what it currently is here I will probably continue to not comment very often. It is no longer ok to “put people into their place” here. By the way…you saying that made me smile. It reminds me of when I have to put my little ones in the corner for time out. Pretty funny stuff to see sometimes…especially the baby(I mean since he is so small it is funny to see such a tiny boy in the corner–he is almost 2). So take care, Tia.

I have got a recent report that Kh has collapsed .She must take care about hreself. Well, the talks about her pregnency are just hopeless because it doesn’t matter that a lot to any one of us. But as a matter of fact each girl lady and women are jealous of her as she has taken away Tom for the third time away from us.
