We can’t tell if Rupert Grint is genuinely excited or exhausted at his Harry Potter-themed birthday party in Las Vegas last week. Because if you’re turning 23, wouldn’t you not want to be reminded of a kids’ movie, no matter how badass it is? Although it’s a sweet touch that Chateau welcomed Rupert with a Gryffindor cake and every nerd’s wet dream, it’s also like that awkward situation where people only know you for one thing. Like, where are his friends?
Which brings us to our next big question: Are the uniform-wearing ladies actual fans, or were they were hired by Chateau to entertain Rupert. (It seems unlikely that every attendee would plan on wearing the same slutty Hogwarts Halloween costume.) After the fun wears off, that’s gotta be a bit depressing to think that someone hired strangers to put on the adult version of the costumes from your kids’ movies to celebrate your birthday because that’s all they know you for.

We live in a society that places a great deal of emphasis on looks. Society tells us we should scorn and reject anyone who doesn’t fit a certain standard.
I was there for this event and at the meet and greet he did the day after and let me tell you that the people who ran this who event were a total complete mess. I mean, he’s not doing a Harry Potter event he’s doing himself as Rupert not as Ron so the Harry Potter theme shouldn’t have been done. I’m a total Potterhead but they should have had him another cake and a whole different theme. He was not promoting a movie or celebrating anything potter. I saw his friends there and the girl he is rumored to be dating also. At the club he didn’t come out of his booth so people in the crowd couldn’t see him. I saw some pictures online where he did come out but I Ieft before then because it was just insane. The meet and greet was not so potter and I had to sit in the hot Vegas weather for five hours :( but I met some cool people and got pictures of Rupert and his autograph. He even smiled and waved at me when I yelled his name. I have a picture where he is looking exactly at me when I took a picture of him :) I love him and yeah.. His friends are cute too.

It’s a posed picture. But if you’ve seen other pictures he’s having a fun time. Now if it had been 5 years since the last movie came out I think he’d have been checked out.

The pics seemed like a posed birthday party- for a person who has no friends. Also, I knew he was checked out when he passed on the banana-only Runts at the candy place. Those things are crazy delicious.
