On November 27th, Disney XD will premiere their very first original movie “Skyrunners”, a sci-fi adventure that features alien creatures designed by the Academy Award-winning Weta Workshop ("The Lord of the Rings," "The Chronicles of Narnia"). Check out this preview that aired on Disney XD.
The story follows teenage brothers Tyler (Joey Pollari) and Nick Burns (Kelly Blatz of Disney XD’s "Aaron Stone") who commandeer a small UFO that crashes near their town. They soon learn the spacecraft is "alive" and there’s an ominous alien plot to take over Earth. In addition to Pollari and Blatz, "Skyrunners" stars Linda Kash (Disney Channel’s "Full-Court Miracle"), Conrad Coates ("Kyle XY"), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and Nathan Stephenson. It was written by Richard C. Okie ("Quantum Leap" and "Earth: Final Conflict"), Adam Wilson and Melanie Wilson, and directed by Ralph Hemecker ("Numb3rs"). Okie is also executive producer. "Skyrunners" is a production of Ranger Productions and Shaftesbury Services II, Inc.
