Prince Andrew, the son of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, has been taking a 10-day tour of Los Angeles.
This member of British royalty met up with some of Hollywood’s own royalty, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, at the opening of a new art gallery. The prince also spent time with other celebrities at the party including Dustin Hoffman, Owen Wilson, and Don Johnson from Miami Vice.

Sorry but this picture (above) of Katie, Cruise, and Prince Andrew speaks VOLUMES, it is a metaphor of where they all are in their lives. When I saw this picture I IMMEDIATELY remembered the picture that was in Morton’s book of Cruise, Nicole, and Princess Diana.
COMPARE the above picture to the one below (click on the hyperlink). Its a picture of Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, and the late Princess Diana taken at the premiere of Far and Away in December 1991. When this picture was taken you can tell Cruise and Kidman were in love or still in like with each other. No exagerated looks or big grins. Nicole seemed in aw of Princess Diana. I think this was a good time in all of their lives.

Now of course Cruise probably didn’t plan on meeting up with Prince Andrew who is not in the caliber or leaque of Diana, but it seems like Cruise has been downgraded even with which royal he’s been photographed as of late. Prince Andrew is not Charles, nor William, nor Harry, but finally just randy Andy and not really doing much in his life but he is the son of Queen Elizabeth of England.
Interesting how we have seen TOMKAT at the premiere of Mad Money and Katie looks VERY EXCITED, light in her eyes, euphoric, etc. She’s been with Cruise now almost 3 years in April yet her expressions change from one extreme to another.
In the picture with Diana, Cruise and Nicole appear, in my opinion, geniuely happy, young, rich, and not fake. Today they OVER do the grins and laughs and “lets whisper and look into each others eyes to look in love” like over the top.
But I bet Cruise and Katie were willing to meet any famous person and take a picture with them.

wasn’t it a real shocker when cruise and kidman announced the divorce? i don’t think it was just for us. nicole seemed quite shocked and numb from it too, as we saw glimpses of her doing movie promotions and interviews…. i don’t know, but cruise and kidman suited each other more even though kidman is even taller than holmes and there was a height difference, i don’t think kidman wore platforms and stilletos during their relationship very often…. their similarity in age… cruise seemed a lot more reserved then, more normal, not so flashy…..
cruise ain’t a young man anymore. maybe he was entering a mid-life crisis, but i sensed that with the whole media blitz with a string of g/fs the final one ending up katie holmes. the odd tantrum behavior seemed like he’d definitely regressed in mental age, probably trying to deny the awful awful truth that humans are mortal…..
if tom had met andrew before, it’d just be an introduction of stepford wife #3, younger and pneumatic. poor prince andrew. as a royal, you really must be polite!
I agree that Nicole and Cruise looked more suited to each other. I think she was very aware that she was a lot taller than him and wore shorter heels so that they looked good together. I think whoever dressed them especially the last 5 years of their marriage did a good job.

I liked the way they looked at the 69th Annual Academy Awards. I remember she looked so slim and stunning when they interviewed her that I wondered HOW the heck was she gonna be able to sit down in that dress but she pulled it off.
I think fame is tough because its hard to hang onto it. However, those that do should be thankful because its a very competitive business. You are also able to make tons of money but can also lose the fame and you have to be ready for that too.
I think Scientology ruined his career and life only he doesn’t realize it. In the above link Nicole and Cruise looked like a team, like a genuine couple. Even the way they are holding hands they look like accomplices not fake or over the top. However, I think she was also a very ambitious woman/actress and so both are to blame for the failure of their marriage. She knew what she was getting into when they got married.
I think wife no. 3 had it worse because at this point, Cruise is not spring chicken and I don’t think he wants to lose millions again in a divorce so he probably defintiley had Katie sign an ironclad contract. Even if her father is a lawyer, I still don’t think she will end up with the same amount like Nicole. She walked away with millions of dollars in cash and assets.
If someone thinks that Katie will walk away with millions because her father is a lawyer, I don’t think so. If he has so much influence on his daughter, why did she marry a Scientologist and sign several contracts that Scientologist are required to sign? No, he might have put his two cents in a few things but this is Cruise’ third time at a marriage and each time he probably got smarter about divorce and what he is willing to give up.
We have all commented on how Suri is NEVER alone with Katie. There is always a handler around. But it is to make sure Suri is not secretly doctrinated in the Catholic faith. If she were my daughter I would like some alone time with her. Mommy and me time. And if Suri is really Cruise’s baby he will definitely keep her if they divorce. There is no way she will go with Katie. I just don’t see this marriage going 10 years.
I have a hard time believing that Katie is never alone with Suri. I too would want someone with me when I left the house with the media circus that surrounds me all the time!
Maybe I have a little more faith in KH then the rest of you, but I am sure she protected herself going into this marriage.
I have a hard time believing that TC is all that, or enough to sell her soul to the devil! Give me a break! Regardless of who you are, gold diggers and hustlers always protect themselves first and foremost!
Taralexis: I don’t have a lot of faith in KH. She made Mad Money instead of Dark Knight, she married a Scientologist instead of someone of her own faith (this creates a lot of problems), she signed over the rights to her health when she hooked up with Cruise that only Scientology approved methods would be used on her in case of a medical emergency, she takes out Suri in the cold without a jacket or sweater, she can’t speak for 5 minutes straight in a press junket interview without stumbling and she’s an actress that has made a few movies already, etc.
yes- she has a prenup that will give her millions when they split- the issue is who gets Suri- look what happened to Nicole when she declined to give up her catholic religion for scientology. Dumped and only intermittent “custody” of the kids.

Toledo: The article fails to bring up a point that Nicole never had to deal with: The fact that Katie will always be compared to Nicole Kidman.
She had to compete with Nicole for a mag cover in December, VOGUE, and she lost to Nicole. Nicole is now prego and KH has to be compared to that. (I hate to be her if Nicole pops out a boy.) Her wedding was months after Nicole’s fairy tale wedding.
SO true mama! She will never have the success as Nicole has had because KH will always be compared to Nicole and I don’t think KH has half the talent Nicole has (compare the movies) and this will be an issue with KH- she has said she wouldn’t mind if Suri got into “the business”. this shows how ambitious she is instead of having true concern for her daughter- does she REALLY think this business is OK?

I agree with Battlemama and toledo fan: Katie right now has youth and beauty but not the same talent like Kidman. I am not necessarily a fan of Kidman but I liked her in To Die For. I thought she was funny and serious. I don’t really like a lot of her movies or the fact that she married Cruise and entertained the idea of becoming a Scientologist. I could never do this. I say this from experience. I am of Christian faith and almost married a Muslin and later a Jewish man, both nice guys only none of us would budge as far as changing faiths and so it was better like this. I have no regrets. Now Scientology is a whole different thing all together and so it must be the fame and fortune that seduced Katie and Nicole, not Mimi because she was the one that started this whole thing.
Kidman may have entertained the thought, but at least she didn’t sell her soul to Scientology. Her children are a different story though. Kidman also wouldn’t use her kids for PR either. I also don’t think what the world thinks really bothers Kidman as much as does Katie. Nicole sailed through the drinking problem with Urban without much of a problem or it effecting her.
Katie, on the other hand, is very worldly. She wants the accolades of the world and for people to worship her. That probably explains why she thinks it is okay for Suri to be PR girl and to go into the business.
The problem is you have to compromise a lot to get the accolades of the world and you aren’t always rewarded for it. Now that she isn’t getting the accolades for what she compromised…well we can all see how it is effecting her now. She is not sailing through through it like Kidman did.
Oh, I read somewhere that motorcycle man Pitt was going to get the expensive Dulcatti machine that Cruise got. But, when he found out Cruise was getting the first one, Pitt cancelled his order. He didn’t want Cruise’s cast-offs. Are we getting pouty about things or what?? I will find the link.

why are you bringing up brad pitt on this thread??? I seriously doubt he would cancel an order for a motorcycle based on the fact that tc got the first one….that hardly constitutes cast-offs…is thats the case every single person who buys one is getting tc’s “cast-offs” right?

Libra, it does have to do with TC and that ridiculous bike he bought. It just makes Pitt look bad.
I too agree this is probably not true and should have clarified that originally, but it certainly makes for a good laugh at how spoiled these celebs are.
I don’t think any of them really know how the rest of us live nor do I think they care. They are definately in a very “ME and what I want NOW” oriented business.
I think the cruises are ME oriented, I don’t see the J-P’s as being that way, which is why I see this story being bogus.

what’s hilarious is his pr team puts out these bogus stories of tc “saving” people in different situations…….yea, we’re supposed to believe that from a guy who can’t even start a car or open a door…who gets all flustered, then berserk when someone squirts water in his face

What is unbelievable about them is the fact that, for most of the cases, someone is already helping the person when Cruise arrives on scene or they sound like something from one his movie roles.
Libra: I think there is something about the lifestyle that requires the illusion and the fakeness. But, yes, Tomkat is over the top fake and it is obvious. But, the J-Ps can do a good show for the cameras and it looks real and believable.
That, of course, may have to do with the fact that the JP’s aren’t trying to lie about everything all the time. There is truth behind the public act.
Everyone behaves differently when they know the cameras are on them. We all do. I think to succeed in Hollywood, you have to be a master at putting on a good show out in public. Tomkat just can’t fake it any more beause ultimately all truth comes out.
It was interesting how all PDAs ended when Suri was born. Even right up until the birth, TC had his hands all over Katie and her belly. (And trust me, I really didn’t care to see it.) But now, there isn’t even the leaning into each other that the JP’s do. Also, Tomkat tries to upstage each other at the other’s events (i.e. Katie debuting a new haircut on TC’s award night, TC signing autographs on Katie’s premiere night, etc.)
I wonder what happened with Suri’s birth that changed how over-the-top in love they were. It didn’t fade out–it just ended. Now, all their PDA is just that awkward arm clutching or hand holding. They went from hot and heavy to not much. Also, most of their affection is directed at Suri and not each other. That may explain part of the reason they haul Suri everywhere, so they don’t have to deal with each other.
about the PDA….. what i find odd is that they apparently had no problem making out sitting next to isabella at a soccer match (i think), and she (isabella) looked understandably awkward with the situation….but i don’t see them doing that in front of suri, with suri sitting next to them while tomkat’s lips and eyes are totally locked on each other….maybe the relationship has cooled, who knows. tom’s infantile, ‘i’m sooooooooo in love’ behavior seemed like infatuation, the non-lasting kind…..
and another reason for katie to be jealous of nicole: nicole’s skinnier. haha! i’m not saying that skinnier is better, but i get the impression that katie thinks it is. at least, it seems that she’s striving to achieve that tall and skinny model look with her not so gradual weight losses and shoes that she’ll wear!
i still can’t believe tom chose katie….of all tom’s exes, katie doesn’t have the same calibre. like nicole, cher, penelope…….at this stage, i’m veering towards believing morton’s casting call theory about the way he chose wife #3. she’s the only one who accepted!
Katie’s thinking “Amazing…a prince….I’ll bet he’s got alot more $$$ than Tiny Tom. If I could con him the way I conned Tom, I could be Princess Katie…amazing….just amazing.” It’s obvious that she’s sizing up the Andrew’s wallet because she sure isn’t admiring his good looks.
Well, guys. The Tom cruise and Nicole Kidman stories are so OVERED. Like it or not, TOMKAT its now. Nicole it was beautiful, but not anymore after what she has done with her face. Speaking of comparison between KATIE and NICOLE. Today Nicole is a better actress as shes started her carrer earlier and older than KATIE, but we all never know what it would be in the future. Jealousy, I think Nicole is very jealous of Katie.
About the a adorable baby SURI, She is Tom’s! Look at her…Shes so TOM CRUISE!
